DD1 started on a course without a year abroad and then switched into the course with one in the second year.

MiffyMyKitty · 18/06/2015 20:45

littleham good luck to your dd, its nearly the end hope she can make her last few exams a good one and gets the questions she wants to really nail it. Smile

muffinmonster · 18/06/2015 20:57

All done here. DD thought this morning's aper was OK, but says it's always hard to tell how she's done in physics.

No partying yet - she went to see a friend's new kitten this afternoon. Tomorrow meeting some friends for drinks, Race for Life on Saturday, off to Disneyland next week for a couple of days.

Summer Ball and leavers' barbecue still to come.

I am expecting a steady stream of home-made cakes now that she has time on her hands.

tapdancingmum · 18/06/2015 21:19

Well that's it - all over! Last exam today - sociology - which she says has gone really well before Leavers assembly this afternoon.

14 years of school finished and it feels like only yesterday I was sending her off to Reception Grin.

Whole new chapter of her life opening up for her now but first she is off to Harrods tomorrow to drink Champagne (friend's birthday treat).

Good luck to those that still have exams and see you in August for results day.

Decorhate · 18/06/2015 21:24

We have dd's leavers assembly tomorrow & had parents evening for new Y7s tonight. One in, one out!

MiffyMyKitty · 18/06/2015 21:24

muffin ahhh my dd does the same, but mostly makes cookies and brownies for us to take to work with, but most of the time they are a bit burnt, mis-shaped or rock hard Grin. It's the thought that counts Smile

seimum · 18/06/2015 22:23

Last exam this morning (AQA Physics). OK apart from an astrophysics question that wasn't in the syllabus, apparently.
So now for DS it's just book return day and presentation evening next week, and prom the week after. Oh - and a clarinet exam in July. He can start practicing that now.
And I'm only going to be at the school 3 more times - presentation evening, last PTA social - and results day!

AmazingDisgrace · 18/06/2015 22:46

All is calm here. DD has her final exam (Geog) tomorrow and is feeling chipper. Its the case study which is different every year so no past papers to practice. This year its a small African charity whose website crashed today under the weight of last minute geography A Level revisioners. Their two UK employees took to Twitter and spent hours and hours answering questions from students to help them. That was pretty awesome I think!

Molio · 18/06/2015 23:17

Littleham we haven't had to resort to pleading so far but believe me I'm cheap - and prepared to try!

Last exam tomorrow - geog. Then off to see girlfriend and friends for the w/e, then prom, then Leavers Day, then Europe with mates, then a summer in Scotland with us and extended family. Then back home for the Day of Reckoning and after that who knows what?

hellsbells99 · 19/06/2015 00:46

Well, DD1 & friends are out clubbing, hence I am awake worrying! Just found her phone which she has forgotten to take...so worrying even more.
Most of their year have some sort of holiday planned over the next week or two - some abroad, some camping, some renting a house etc., then she has the Leavers Ball in July and the school concert still to go. She was burning notes today. I did stop her and say DD2 may want them but apparently DD2's notes are far better!

HocusUcas · 19/06/2015 04:54

Littleham, Molio,
Just a short note to say I wish your (Littleham's) daughter all the best for Geography tomorrow and also to Molio's Ds. Your two DCs and mine made up the 3 history musketeers in an earlier incarnation of this (or actually I think one on the Higher Education thread ). Completely bonkers I know but I feel I just want to wish them both well. Good Luck x
Hocus

Decorhate · 19/06/2015 06:07

Good luck to all the Geographers today & commiserations to anyone who will still have dcs revising over the weekend!

AtiaoftheJulii · 19/06/2015 06:36

Hope Geography goes well, and enjoy the freedom to those who finished yesterday or will finish today :)

DD1 has S2 on Monday - her plan is to revise on Sunday Hmm Well, it can't make a difference between A* and A, so she only needs about half marks to avoid a B.

Horsemad · 19/06/2015 07:13

More revision for Further Maths here this weekend.
Good Luck to all with exams today. Smile

circular · 19/06/2015 07:34

Good luck to all those taking Geography or anything else today. Gather from DD still FM, and Computing going on next week.

Although DD finished, still going into school for one of her linstrument lessons and concert rehearsals. Leaves assembly / book return next week, prom week after, concerts week after that.

Books / papers remained untouched last night. Doubt she will have a burn up, not sure if resits could be on the cards., though don't quite see how that could work. Did a little bit of tidying while she was out, mainly to rescue DD2s (yr7) work that had got mixed up n the mayhem.

There's definitely a calmness about the place....

NiceCardigan · 19/06/2015 09:22

Good luck to those still going. DS is using his new found freedom to sleep.

Best of luck, and sanity(!), to those still going! You'll appreciate it even more at the end!
DS2 has been doing some jobs spontaneously to help offset the guilt at not studying! Smile
DS1 home from uni, and was going to be up early today to make the most of the day! Still not appeared!
Both boys are going to spend. Couple of days with my parents next week painting their fence Smile. So I'm happy that they'll all enjoy time together whilst helping out.

Hellsbells, did your DD get home ok? It's always a worry.

Littleham · 19/06/2015 11:43

Thanks Hocus - feel the same way. I am sending positive vibes to Oxford for both of your ds's. Smile

Tension rising for final exam this afternoon. At least we can finally relax this weekend.

Well apparantly Geography was good. On that note she is done and its in the laps of the Gods. Off out clubbing tonight and DS is also finished with a "not too bad" Further Maths igcse paper.

JWIM · 19/06/2015 17:44

All finished here too. DD now out for the night. Good luck to all those still revising this week and for the last few exams next week.

Roll on results day.

hellsbells99 · 19/06/2015 22:50

DD1 arrived home just after 2.30am with 5 friends who stayed over. They woke me up with their chatter & giggling. I returned the compliment early this morning as DD2 and I were off to a uni open day!
Hope exams went well today.

Littleham · 19/06/2015 22:53

Last exam went well. Nice to end on a good note. In the lap of the gods now. Smile
