Peter Murrell is in court in Edinburgh today. This is for the preliminary hearing which was postponed from before the election. It will be interesting to see how the criminal proceedings proceed.

She cannot win this one however she tries to spin it.

Either:

She was living in the house in Uddingston with the fragrant Peter, as his loving and attentive wife, and had not a single clue that he was buying all this stuff and having it delivered to the house. Or giving it to her family as presents. Nobody believes that.

Or:

The "marriage" was a sham, she spent 99% of her time at Bute House and and had no clue what Peter was up to because they both had separate lives and separate interests. If that is the scenario, then she is pretty much admitting that she has been lying through her teeth for years about her domestic situation.

Helpmaboa · 28/05/2026 20:50

She was a regular visitor to the MIL though, in either scenario

But I don’t know why she just didn’t say this

Agree, when she announced they were separating I don't think there was anyone who was surprised. Visiting the mother in law while the £100k motorhome was sitting on the driveway and not asking or not noticing is the ridiculous part.

Yes, and all via the self publicist that’s Aamer Anwar 🙈

A bottom feeding cretin of a man.

@TobyEsterhase The two tribes don't have an affiliation with the SNP. Their loyalty is to either England (Rangers) or Ireland (Celtic). Some of them don't even support the Scottish national football team. I doubt they vote for any political party. Thankfully they're not all like this but there is a hard core of morons.

Rangers' affiliation is the Union, not England.

Thankfully that failed and independence was voted against! It’s utterly terrifying what an incompetent shower they are.

There is a hard core of sheep that can’t see the wood for the trees.

How the heck Humza Y got to be first minister beggars belief too. Zero interest in Scotland.

He was our very own Liz Truss.

But in some people’s eyes being a unionist = England

So dim no one is even blaming him 😂

Whose eyes? It's certainly a separatist view that Unionist =England but that's just peddling "the you don't care about Scotland" twaddle.

I'm not a Rangers supporter but I am a Unionist. I don't think I've ever seen England's flag at televised Rangers' games, but plenty of Union flags.

Have you seen that MSPs were expected to donate £250 of their wages to the Party..????

Every month or annually?

Shocking either way - but somehow not surprising

Mochudubh · 28/05/2026 21:34

Nicola reminds me of the old joke about the minister and his flock.

"I didnae ken"

"Weel, ye ken noo"!

WTF?! That's bizarre! And they all just went along with it and didn't say a word?

Zebrah · 28/05/2026 22:30

Proceeds of crime act sees the Lalique salt and pepper set sold by the police to raise funds to pay back the donators. How much would they get on eBay as the GENUINE set that Nicola S walked past every day without a second glance?

Cismyfatarse · 28/05/2026 22:42

I was wondering that @Zebrah. Are all these items now in fact worth £££££. Will the camper van be bought by some rich Reform voter and driven around with “It wasnae me” written on the side?? At auction you can imagine the salt and pepper grinders making shed loads.

SirChenjins · 28/05/2026 22:48

I had a feeling you were going to say that! Bloody hell 😲

Rangers' affiliation is the Union, not England.

When I was still working, the boys at school who supported Rangers would also support England against Scotland.

I hope it is kept to offset the cost of the investigation and prosecution. I think refunding the donors would be problematic.

TobyEsterhase · 29/05/2026 05:43

PhaedraTwo · 28/05/2026 21:19

Rangers' affiliation is the Union, not England.

The Union was a one-off event 319 years ago which created a new sovereign nation, Great Britain. A union is to a sovereign nation what a wedding is to a marriage.

Wrongly describing UK aa a "union" creates the false impression that is something akin to a bowling club which the members can simply choose to leave by not paying their annual subscription.

I've lived all over Scotland, mainly in Glasgow and Lanarkshire, and have never come across a Scottish football fan- Rangers, Celtic, Hearts, Hibs whatever - not supporting Scotland over England.

I guess you're a separatist. Your analogy makes no sense.

Meridas · 29/05/2026 08:46

I think the analogy that NS and PM lived separate lives, with her based at Bute House, is closest to the truth. Whether the marriage was always a sham or they'd split at some point.

Maybe thats whats in her submission to the inquiry. But to not notice ANYTHING, especially the motor home....

I know a lot of die hard Rangers fans. Many support independence, all support the Scottish football team. But I'm not in the central belt.
