I met this Scottish man and he is simply amazing and wonderful, so interesting and kind with the sexiest accent ever, es the best. I went to scotland for the first time with him and fell in love with it. Would i be crazy to move there???!

How long have you known him? Would you be selling your own property? I’d be wary of giving up my security to live with someone I’d not known for long in a place I’ve never lived in before. Why not keep your property (if you own it) and the both of you rent together for a year first to see how it goes?

Oh and I too remember the Indy ref time all those years ago as being divisive. I would hate to live though it again. It crept into my workplace and I felt quite uncomfortable as usually political discussions are kept light. I also remember a colleague asking me if I was entitled to vote - presumably as an English person, even though I’d lived here most my adult life. It was also similar during Brexit.

Btw, I’m pro greens though I don’t vote for them. Home owner, no mortgage, zero debt, retired two years ago age 60. I haven’t even applied for a bus pass.

They oppose a split because they see their country as Britain or the UK, not just as England. Losing Scotland would mean losing something like a third of the landmass, and a beautiful part of the country. Why would anyone want that? Now that we're out of the EU, the UK already feels small and isolated. Becoming smaller is the last thing any of us need,
