Where are all the SNP shills who usually pop up to call us all "Toaries" or "Boris-lovers"? It's almost as if the money to pay them has run out.

They are busy doing a sheet for her bail money

TokyoSushi · 11/06/2023 19:21

I wonder if from the statement she's going to throw Pete under the bus?!

mummywithtwokidsplusdog · 11/06/2023 22:07

I’m disappointed with the third arrest followed by release without charge and can’t figure out why that is? Surely if there is evidence for an arrest there shouldn’t be three all released after questioning?

TheBelmont · 12/06/2023 20:07

Yousaf stating conclusively that he will not suspend Sturgeon from the SNP. And the total and utter arrogance of her not stepping down. They are both so so awful and taking the country for fools.

The corruption and lies just keep on rolling on.

BigBoysDontCry · 12/06/2023 22:08

Neil Oliver spot on.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 12/06/2023 23:13

I hate to agree with him, but I do:

wr have not got people of talent in power.

we have grabbers

whatsupdoc2 · 12/06/2023 23:15

What did Neil Oliver say?

TheBelmont · 13/06/2023 05:42

He’s not wrong….but I think politics has always attracted those types? I dont think it is a new phenomenon.

"It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it... anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job." - Douglas Adams

I imagine that most politicians enjoy power, status, being in the public eye. But we do seem to have a new ethos of lying and corruption now. In the past, if a politician lied and was caught out, or abused their position for personal profit, they resigned or were sacked. Now, it appears to be more or less acceptable / expected. Likewise, even extreme incompetence now has no consequences.

annabelindajane · 13/06/2023 12:44

I am sure there are some really good hard working MPs , maybe some MSPs but they don’t attract the limelight as they quietly get on with their job .
One of our problems is that we don’t have a second chamber so the proper checks and balances are not in place ( as DRS) . SNP have no opposition and have been chasing a progressive agenda rather than responsibly governing the country . They have ditched anyone who doesn’t agree with them and we end up with people like Anne McGloughlan in Westminster.I doubt she could work the tills in our local shop . It’s depressing and our taxes pay for them to destroy our beautiful country .

2userspast3 · 13/06/2023 14:06

You just need to find one message that you can turn into an ideology that enough voters will blindly follow, and you can cash in for years. In the UK it was Brexit and in Scotland it's independence. So during this very difficult time for the SNP and for Scotland, the SNP leadership organise a conference on independence.

annabelindajane · 13/06/2023 15:48

And what about Kirsty Blackman : the SNP Mp who the good souls of North Aberdeen voted for . ( What were they thinking ?)
Yesterdays debate in Westminster about the definition of sex ( had to be debated as they got 100000 signatures) where she states she doesn’t know what her chromosomes are and she can’t define what a woman is . She has 2 children so god knows what she tells them . This is all so self indulgent it makes me sick.

annabelindajane · 13/06/2023 17:24

She’s a star turn for sure . She went to a private school in Aberdeen perhaps the biology department wasn’t up to much .

BigBoysDontCry · 13/06/2023 17:26

I walked past her constituency office a few times whilst on a trip to Aberdeen. It took every ounce of my self restraint not to spit on the door handle.

PollyPeptide · 13/06/2023 18:42

She has only a fair idea of what her genitals look like in comparison to (an undefined number of) other people's. So she's no idea what sex she is.
Who votes for these people? I'm with the two behind with their heads in their hands.

RandomGeocache · 13/06/2023 19:37

Of COURSE Kirsty Blackman knows that she has XX chromosomes. From her Wiki:

" She matriculated at the University of Aberdeen to study medicine, but later dropped out."

So must have H Biology at least, and was pursuing a career in medicine. She has birthed two children. She is a woman, XX just like the rest of us.

I do not need to see her genitals to confirm this. And neither would I wish to.

PollyPeptide · 13/06/2023 23:32

Oo, @RandomGeocache , the very thought. You've made me feel quite icky! 🤢

Report today in Daily Record saying the £100k motorhome was bought with cash and has never been insured (so has never been used on the road). Has been parked on Sturgeon's mother in law's property for 2 years.

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/campervan-centre-snp-fraud-probe-30259976

Also, that a wealthy businessman related to one of the MPs has been handing out envelopes stuffed with cash to SNP party members, which have not been declared.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12206851/SNP-fraud-detectives-probe-cash-envelopes-claims.html

First three months of 2023, Scot Lib Dems and Scottish Labour received donations around £200k each. SNP? £4k.

Campervan at the centre of SNP fraud probe was bought with cash

The £110,000 Niesmann+ Bischoff vehicle sat outside the home of Nicola Sturgeon’s mother-in-law for two years.

It's sounding serious. Surely someone will be doing prison time for this?

Operation Branchform is examining more than 1000 transactions including Amazon purchases, fancy cookware and luxury pens

The way the Sunday Mail has phrased this is great. Conveys so much. Fancy cookware. Luxury pens.

I, for one, am very keen to hear more about Nicola’s pen preferences as more comes out. 🤣

ah yes…SNP sources say "there is no suggestion that the accounts do not present an accurate picture of the party's financial position".

well…sorry to break it to them…but that is exactly what a qualified opinion is.

humza yousaf

SNP auditors say some financial records are missing

Records for some cash and cheques have been lost but the party says it is on track to file its accounts on time.
