It's all very well writing 'campaign bus' in the leger, but where is the seller's paperwork? The legal keeper's paperwork? Who is it insured to?

I bet they've added it to the company insurance policy, which could be worded as something loosely like "all company vehicles" so again not something that would standout to the treasurer.
