This is why she is discussing rumours of a private life - trying to put distance between herself and Murrell.

But, yeah, no.

And hells yah to FOI’ing everyone who might have any insight into the timing of the whole thing.

Release the squirrels.

Notatmine · 05/04/2023 10:54

Good.

PutinSmellsPassItOn · 05/04/2023 10:54

The police tent's a bit dramatic, unless they're looking for money under the patio instead of dead bodies 🤣🤣🤣

Highhighhope · 05/04/2023 10:55

They will be hoping a certain Lord Lake gets to be the judge if this goes to trial

I think the fact the police chief visited her before she resigned and then resigned himself tells us everything we need to know.

Absolutely.

I get that - probably the 48 percent that voted for Forbes feel similar. They could’ve done a
much better job but they made all
the mistakes of the power hungry - pushing things through, not considering legislation enough, consultations that they did nothing with.

periods in opposition are good for democracy, parties and politician quality - and the SNP haven't had enough of that.

Yeah - I wish Forbes had won. Looked like a rare chance for a country in the UK to be led by someone with integrity and honesty.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Seriously though, the SNP have effectively fucked Scotland's chance of becoming independent in my lifetime and for that I will never forgive them.

I realise others are thinking "thank fuck for that" and that's their prerogative. I'm just so fucking angry with the whole shit show.

Those of us thinking "thank fuck" are still furious though - we still have to live with the utter clusterfuck they've presided over after all.

One of my many reasons for voting no was that the SNP would have been responsible for negotiating the separation and for setting up all the new institutions we would have needed - and I wouldn't trust them to organise a piss up in a brewery

With Scotland being run by these two successvie clowns, England by a run of idiots and Wales by the backwards, Marxist ideological lunatci, there is no hope for any of us.

I thought we had it bad in Wales, with a meddling glorified civil servant, with zero business acumen and an ability to spend others money on vanity projects such as failing airports, farmers fields and a 33% increase in snouts in the trough.

Comes to something when England have the best clown at the circus in charge!

Wow I didn't know this

MajorCarolDanvers · 05/04/2023 11:09

Todays front pages about people not being treated for cancer.

That's what this pair and the SNP are responsible for.

Awrite · 05/04/2023 11:17

coodawoodashooda · 05/04/2023 10:41

What turned you? If you don't mind saying.

I haven't turned, I'm just sickened. Treatment of women by the youth wing, hubris of Nicola, Green party having disproportionate amount of power, MSPs and hangers on very comfortable in their high paying jobs, and much more

I pay a higher rate of tax than I would in rUk. Happy to if the money were to be well spent. It's not. Education is a mess.

Need to go out now. Will return later.

DarlingG · 05/04/2023 11:17

I didn’t know about the police chief bit either! I don’t know many people who like her but I’ve always thought she comes across better than a lot of politicians. I’m not big into the SNP or anything though. Although now seeing this it would appear they’re all the same 🤦🏼‍♀️ If you’re bringing in over £200k a year as a household, what do you need to steal money for? That’s well over double what the average professionals in a household will be bringing in

I agree.

I hate the fact it would appear that they have nicely proved the point that politicians are corrupt. No matter what party. And that scotland have repeatedly voted for them as it was thought they were better, more honest.

How many threads on here alone during the early months of covid were saying they wished sturgeon was the pm instead of first minister of Scotland? As she was far more trustworthy. Turns out not so much. The whole thing stinks.

Not sure they will be able to be "Westminster's fault" about this, but imagine they will try.

tigger1001 · 05/04/2023 11:31

I agree @Awrite - education is a mess here. Sadly I'm currently living with and trying to sort the real effects of a shit education system on my eldest.

Hi there,
Just swinging by to remind everyone that contempt of court protections are triggered in Scotland immediately an arrest is made. So go easy, or indeed ca' canny, those of you who don't want a mis-trial...

Rainbowshit · 05/04/2023 10:47

What's the tent for outside the house?! It's almost like there's a body in there?! 🤔

My OH thought he had been arrested for doing her in 🤣 it is unusual to pitch a tent for a fraud case!

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 05/04/2023 11:45

The tent is massive overkill 😂

Independentscotland · 05/04/2023 11:47

I’m not a member of the SNP but I do support an independent Scotland.

This complaint about finances has dragged on for a long time. My understanding is that the money donated was used by the SNP for general campaigning as they believe everything they do has the aim of independence. Peter Murrell will have signed off the accounts. The complaint isn’t about whether the money has been stolen but how it was used. There will be technical legal issues about this but its by no means clear cut. Interviewing Peter Murrell under caution is probably a good thing as it will either provide evidence of potential criminality or not. Don’t forget that the complaint was made by a person who very much has an axe to grind with the SNP.

The complaint was raised by Douglas Chapman current SNP MP and for er treasurer. Because Murrell wouldn't let him view the books.

MajorCarolDanvers · 05/04/2023 11:50

And he's not being interviewed under caution. He's under arrest.

Independentscotland · 05/04/2023 12:01

The complaint was brought by Sean Clerkin and investigations have been going on for a long time.

I hate to say this, but Iain Livinsgstone (my boss!) was always going to retire this year-he’s done over 30 years and had agreed to extend to 31 because of the pandemic

KnittingNeedles · 05/04/2023 12:12

All starting to unravel, isn't it.

Wonderful.
