DM is slowly getting there thanks 😊 she managed a 10 minute video call yesterday which is the most since testing positive. I'm just glad that she was triple jabbed!

DF appeared to be fine but hadn't been doing much an hour trip out of the house and he was then asleep for 4 hours apparently.

But they are both doing OK and I'm glad they have had it and will have some natural immunity for a while I don't think I realised the amount of worry I had over them getting it the last 2 years given how high risk DF was!

So so glad the fecemasks are finally going. I was in my local Tesco yesterday and all of the barriers at the door were finally gone too. Just all looked normal.

I do find it slightly bizarre that after the months of show boating, podiums etc there wasn't a official announcement made by NS this week about them going! The skeptic in me thinks it's because she doesn't want to highlight it!

A friend told me a few weeks ago that patients were required to wear masks while in their hospital beds and I was horrified. How miserable when you're already in discomfort. What's the point of testing for covid if you don't act on the results of the tests?

Yes, it does come across as if they’d rather keep it quiet. Which is a shame really because you’d think that after 2 years of “we won’t keep these rules in place a second longer than we need to” it’d be a GOOD thing to say that time had now arrived. Instead it’s more like “well fine then I suppose you can technically take them off now but we certainly aren’t going to publicise it any more than we absolutely have to, and anyway you still shouldn’t.”

(I guess the “Strongly Recommended” does not include busy cathedrals, when stood up in Holyrood, when talking to journalists, when greeting fellow VIPs at COP26…)

I agree on the secrecy being odd. I know Parliament is in recess, so she couldn't do her usual update then pre leaked to the media but I'm surprised there haven't been media calls etc on how our superior leadership and cautious and caring approach have led us to this point and how all good Scots will carry on wearing them without being asked because they care so much for their fellow humans.

But, yay...

Yip lots of after inconsistencies in Scotlands ages and rules, you have to be over 18 to supervise children in a softplay!
