Fab @WouldBeGood have a lovely time.

Blooming cervix stuff is total nuts. It’s pure biology as -
women have a cervix
men have a prostate

Thanks, that is hard going.

Devi’s back!! Always worth a rail.

COP26 going to cause spike and more restrictions.

She really is a veritable ray of sunshine.

Devi’s back!! Always worth a rail.

COP26 going to cause spike and more restrictions.

She really is a veritable ray of sunshine.

That's because covid is the only thing that matters.
Piddly wee bit of Climate change..........pah!

Scottishskifun · 21/10/2021 17:51

I wonder if she would have the same message and thoughts if it was the SG organising it...... 🤔

SG let football go ahead along with a big booze up park think climate change is more important.

Scottishskifun · 21/10/2021 18:02

I've volunteered for my health boards long covid patient forum this week.
It's frustrating that it's still going to be a while yet before there are any actual services (it's to see what LC sufferers think will help service wise) but if it actually helps get things established for others who can't afford the therapies I pay for then it's worth me trying to juggle between work a toddler, regular pace points and tidying..... Christ what have I let myself in for! 😂

And the other (who had a log burner going in the background during winter lockdowns) building up the gloom again. All cosy in their homes pontificating about how society should behave. Like PP I heard the radio Scotland programme yesterday, where the narrative switched to ‘masks in primary schools’ and some dad who was ranting about his daughter not being ‘safe’ at school, yet she appeared to take part in lots of after school/weekend clubs Hmm which he deemed ‘safe’. Thank you for all you do, to any teachers/school management teams who have to deal with these types of parents every day.

We need another rail thread, as much as I’m enjoying the other calm thread (love a good recipe swap too), railing is still very much needed…especially as we’re plummeting into dark nights and grim weather.

Lockdownbear · 21/10/2021 20:30

I really would hate to see masks in primary schools. I cannot believe people would support it I really can't.

WouldBeGood · 21/10/2021 23:42

I think we do need a safe place to rail still 🤣

Though i will br happy when the threads are redundant as we are all so happy

ElephantOfRisk · 21/10/2021 23:55

All the threads are needed! Definitely railing to be done and I think in some ways it's healthy to be able to do that and get it out rather than letting it fester. Grin

titsintiers · 22/10/2021 07:00

Agreed, there will always be something to rail about.

Lockdownbear · 22/10/2021 07:19

I think the restrictions on life are definitely worth railing about.

It's still ridiculous that school halls, and pools aren't available to be let out. Cause covid. Which is stopping many groups from getting restarted unless they can find alternative halls.

Coquohvan · 22/10/2021 13:21

This makes my blood boil. Yes still need to rail !!!

Thinking one of you might have some advice... DH booked our day 2 return to UK tests for the wrong date. We're back home after a holiday abroad and supposed to be taking out tests by tomorrow, but they won't be here in time. Not entirely sure what we do - have taken LFT tests which are negative so know we're not covid ridden at least! Does ScotGov check you've done your test???

When are they due to arrive?

There have been problems with deliveries even if for the right day. You might get a phone call but you just say that they haven't arrived and your following up with the company.... Its pretty common!
If they aren't there within a week usually they will just tell you to go to get a NHS test.

If it's only a couple of days then you can just wait it out. If its longer than that then I would maybe order next day delivery ones

Coquohvan · 22/10/2021 20:42

I’d not worry @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo.

Been abroad a few times and once was when we had to isolated pre 19th July changes. Not once we’re we called texted emailed or visited during 10 days isolating.
If your tests are late and you are unlucky to get a call from useless T&T I’d say you have reference numbers of purchase, tried chasing them, (test companies mostly don’t respond)
Read elsewhere which I cant find now sorry, that your sent for a NHS PCR.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 22/10/2021 20:44

Thanks @Scottishskifun! I'd say that was reassuring, but it's not especially reassuring to know that even when people book on the right say they are having problems! Will do regular LTF tests until the test shows us. The one thing in all the covid admin I left to DH... Hmm

Scottishskifun · 22/10/2021 20:56

I think it's dependent on the company to how good they are. I was aware of it from travel forums so we actually ordered before we flew on holiday. We didn't have issues at all with ours I was very impressed.

It should get easier when they switch to LFT and there is always the fall back of taking NHS LFT which you can easily have a home in the meantime which isn't the same currently with PCRs.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 22/10/2021 21:37

Thanks @Coquohvan - we have tried unsuccessfully to contact the company to no avail, so can can truthfully say that if we get contacted. Will keep up with regular LFT tests in the meantime. If we lived in England and it was a couple of days later that would have been all we needed of course!

Scottishskifun · 22/10/2021 22:41

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo I'm so confused about what the travel rules are for Scotland! On one SG page it states that they will align with UK policy which you would assume is LFT from the 24th but on SG International travel page it states that you still need prearrival tests and day 2 lateral flow but the page was updated on the 15th of October 🤔

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 22/10/2021 23:36

@Scottishskifun - I know, it's infuriating. The 'we'll align with the uk' was before the uk announced the 24 Oct changes. As far as I know ScotGov haven't made an announcement on it yet.
