The women stuff affects everyone and in particular vulnerable women most of all. There’s no way anyone should be ignoring it.

Hello from chief moaner and mask hater. 😃

I don’t care what party people support just as long as there’s no hectoring.

It’s only natural to moan about the party of government, I think, as it’s they should affect our lives.

Always up for a moan about Boris et al too.
Good idea on a chat thread @ElephantOfRisk.

The other people it affects is young female girls. Who aren't allowed to speak out against male girls being in the girls toilets.

Lots of things just aren't right.

WouldBeGood · 18/10/2021 17:37

Women’s Aid North Lanarkshire had funding withdrawn as they stuck to saying they’d only employ women. Just as an example.

There must be a market for a sensible political party? Though people seem to vote SNP and Tory in Scotland and England no matter what horrendous stuff they do 🤷🏻‍♀️

Or the huge percentage of teenage girls who identify as trans and non binary being on the autistic spectrum.
Some of these girls will make life altering choices around drugs and surgeries.
As an autistic woman this horrified me. And the SG is enabling this, more, encouraging it.

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 18/10/2021 18:11

My Twitter is 100% women's rights anti-TRA content to be honest Grin

Me too @BlameItOnTheBlackStar 😃

I am so fed up today. Had a lovely week last week in England, no masks, no making appointments to go anywhere and do anything, no fecking "just scan this QR code and leave your details", no sanitising, no social distancing and none of the SHITE.

Back to Scotland and it's grey, raining, it;s back to fucking masks and the rest of the bollocks and there is not one SINGLE FUCKING POLITICIAN who will stand up and challenge Queen Covid

WouldBeGood · 18/10/2021 18:36

At my work we are not allowed to touch paper anyone else has touched 🤣🤣

OP posts:
KingsleyShacklebolt · 18/10/2021 18:42

Well I'm not surprised, @WouldBeGood, all those people being struck down by Covid infested post-it notes. Hmm

WouldBeGood · 18/10/2021 18:43

It’s so ludicrous it’s funny

Still no sign of us being back in the office - some folks are back in but my team are the bottom of the list and I think when it's gets down to us we'll be offered one hot desk between the 3 of us which is no use really as we'd still be sitting on our own and it would be much harder to do a video call in an open office so would probably see each other even less.

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 18/10/2021 19:30

Oh my god Grin

At my work you could lick someone's keyboard and nobody would bat an eyelid.

Scottishskifun · 18/10/2021 20:56

@elephantofrisk we are the same they have only just managed to agree to get the office open for those with welfare needs! The rest of us have no chance! Whilst I'm quite happy to work from home a few days a week my energy bills are nuts and the £6 a week tax rebate isn't going to dent anything!

I wish I was allowed back for even just 1 day a week but will be well into the spring I think!

ElephantOfRisk · 18/10/2021 20:59

Priority staff have been back for a while, contact centre and anyone welfare or just struggling with IT or family/space issues affecting their ability to work. My team are seen as "professional" so bottom of the list. We don't even get any seats in a recovery situation as we don't urgently affect customer service as such. I think ultimately we will never return full time to the office as they are downsizing the office space anyway. I think one or two days will be the most we'll get.

runningpink · 18/10/2021 21:34

I am railing about GP practices.

Called today as need to make an appointment with the practice nurse.

Automated patronising message all aimed at covid or if you can’t breathe call an ambulance! Then goes on to say use econsult form but if unable to then stay on line to talk to someone.

I hung up and went online. Can’t see anywhere that’s relevant for what I need.

Try calling again a few times and it just keeps ringing!

It shouldn’t be this difficult 18months down the line. Especially when we can go clubbing, football matches etc

I will try again tomorrow to speak to someone but if no luck not sure what I’m meant to do

ElephantOfRisk · 18/10/2021 21:45

The communication isn't great @runningpink.

I filled in their on-line form for a fit note and when I rang a week later as I hadn't heard anything, the receptionist had no idea what I was talking about and then asked me if it would come to them as an email.... Well I don't know, it's your system not mine.... Confused

ElephantOfRisk · 18/10/2021 21:45

I'd just stay on the line tomorrow.

WouldBeGood · 18/10/2021 22:03

Railing on behalf of criminal lawyers. The SG expecting them to do lots of extra work including weekend courts during COP26. Two weeks notice and no extra payments. Another shambles.

I watched the 1st instalment of Blair/ Brown documentary (managed to hold off the Halloween stuff for the night).

I found it really quite sad that the Labour Party managed to regain so much political ground and has lost it again.

Hoping that there is a rising star somewhere who knows what a woman is and can appeal to people north and south of the border.
