Stay until the cases arent so high
Sadly, cases will be high again as soon as winter bugs kick in. So if you still have to wear them in the summer, when is ok not to?
Absolutely keep them on if you work in retail and would prefer to do that, but as a customer I’ll just avoid any shop that refuses me entry without a mask.
The sad reality is, anyone clinically vulnerable is at risk from every illness that impacts an immune system...from a simple stomach bug, through to much worse, that most of us can easily recover from (such as a virus). They need shielding from any situation, not just covid and need access to clinical services which are STILL prioritising covid, despite the vaccine levels. I say this as someone who has a close relative in this category, I just don’t mention it on here as it’s really nobody else’s concern (particularly NS faux concern, a politician ffs, do stop the patronising, guilt-tripping citizenship lectures).
It’s time to keep living, for us all. Day to day life is what keeps us all going, not wearing a pretty, manky cloth mask that’s been hanging around a handbag for weeks. It’s time to start ‘allowing’ us all to behave like responsible adults again, life is too short.
