Starting this thread for those of us who are done. I don’t want to just rail or fight about it with those who still believe that government messaging is in our best interest. Enough is enough.

@AlphabetAerobics that sounds like you should be entitled to a refund. Next week is not comparable to a week in November!

I’d email them and say that it’s not possible for you to go next week, therefore you would like a full refund.

@charliebrown59

Sainsbury's do good basic pants too I find. Amazon is great for sloggi though.
Picked up loads in Sainsbury's in Edinburgh yesterday.
RaraRachael · 30/06/2021 19:16

I've got some lovely big pants from Next - I don't care what they look like as they are SO comfy. Not too expensive either. I had come to that stage when I was fed up of feeling that my knickers were constantly falling down Grin

2000 cases linked to the football in London.

Well colour me fucking surprised. But keep wearing your masks folks, and isolating your kids, and remember, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Exactly. Poor kids mental health being messed with by going into ‘isolation’ even if feeling perfectly well. Crazy situation.

My hayfever has been appalling last couple of days, very high pollen alerts via an app, so I’m aware of its prominence and can take some action- so eye drops in, antihistamine tablets taken, I feel miles better. Life goes on. It really is that simple for the majority of folk.

I can't wait to torch those masks.

WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 04:50

God, me neither @osbertthesyrianhamster.

Mine will require toxic waste incineration

Please post a link to them. I am desperate for some that don’t fall down constantly too.

@osbertthesyrianhamster saw this on another thread. Talk of masks to go in England on 19th July!

Plus i news reporting that in England schools are likely to be told to treat Covid like flu.

Let’s hope we crack on with this too.

They are seriously the most comfy knickers I've ever worn. They come in lots of different colours too. Much better quality than M and S recent purchases too.

If we have any sense. I was in the Lakes last week. Ran out of clean masks as invited to stay another day (and who says no to that?) so wore a two-day old one for a day and thought, 'How many others are doing the same?' and how stupid it all is.

WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 21:08

@osbertthesyrianhamster I know which way to put mine on according to the lipstick marks. 😂

Lidlfix · 01/07/2021 21:22

I am jealous. I haven't had lipstick marks on my knickers since I was a Miss Selfridge devotee in the early 90's.

WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 21:25

@Lidlfix 🤣🤣

Took this on holiday (my first with Mr Lidl) when we were both 18 in 1992. Wore it as I relaxed on the balcony smoking Regal Kingsize and drinking Malibu and coke reading John Grisham Grin.My sophisticated taste was established early Blush

WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 22:17

Oh, my! Childhood sweethearts 😃

My first date with DP was in 2017 at 48 😂

I could still really go a fag though.. another classy bird here

Bytheloch · 01/07/2021 22:20

Ministers are planning to remove ALL mandatory mask and social distancing restrictions in England on 19 July - and Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance back it

This running tonight via Politics For All and The Guardian.

When will Scotland be doing the same? I fully appreciate this may be (delete as applicable) 24 hrs later/2 days earlier/ 2 months later/ Not this side of Christmas/Perhaps never, but would like to know ASAP if we are to be rewarded the same here in Scotland?

I thought we were 9th August for something @Bytheloch?

No idea what, but it's DS2s birthday so he's feeling like he might get honoured with something good!

WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 22:25

Oh my god @Bytheloch, I hope we follow. I’m so done.

ElephantOfRisk · 01/07/2021 22:25

Loving the wrap @Lidlfix - classy bird indeed Grin.

I've been binge watching all the 10 years younger in 10 days and as a consequence have decided to make more of an effort with my coupon, but it does make me relieved that I don't smoke when you see the results.

WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 22:26

Oh, @ElephantOfRisk, I’ve just watched all those! Now planning fillers and Botox 😃

I thought I'd start with actually cleansing and moisturising first. I had some lovely facial stuff in gifts at Christmas but hadn't really touched it as I can't read the labels with my contact lenses in. DH is an early bedder so feels like too much faff and sneaking about trying to be quiet before bed. Then a friend pointed out that I can actually go pamper myself and put evening cream on in the early evening, I don't need to wait until i'm going to bed....game changer! Grin I'm starting to look more human!
WouldBeGood · 01/07/2021 22:44

Oh that’s good! I’m very shallow and have done moisturiser and makeup for over forty years ! This year has aged me like no other though.
