Some white fizz went down the hatch here in celebration of the unexpected vitamin d!

Christinayangtwistedsister · 16/05/2021 18:50

I'm kind of fed up looking at my own garden now, a wee wander about the shops and a couple of cocktails is needed

WouldBeGood · 16/05/2021 19:21

I think I’ll wait til I can ditch the mask before a shopping trip.

But nice to have some sun!

Struggling with Mr G not being allowed out. It's a gorgeous night, we could have gone for a walk. It's only 4 days so far and 🤯🤯.

I can't wait to go to work.

WouldBeGood · 16/05/2021 20:28

Why can’t you go a walk @Groovee?

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 16/05/2021 20:28

I mean with him?

Groovee · 16/05/2021 21:43

@WouldBeGood

I mean with him?
He's isolating for surgery.
WouldBeGood · 16/05/2021 22:10

Surely a walk would be safe?

Me and the kids. Morrison’s cafe.

I can’t imagine that’s our highlight 🤦‍♀️

WouldBeGood · 16/05/2021 22:28

I used to love Tesco cafe with my DCs @littlbrowndog 😂

littlbrowndog · 17/05/2021 09:54

Will try Tesco as well

👏

WouldBeGood · 17/05/2021 11:46

I’m just going to go in my breaks but not if they shut hospitality, etc again.

In between railing I really think sense will prevail and they’ll stop this lockdown nonsense. Absolutely no need for it.

Are we back to getting daily briefings now?

latissimusdorsi · 17/05/2021 11:52

Haha we seem to be on 2 railing threads this morning. Obviously lot of railing to be done!
I fully intended going on my 2 Scottish breaks if at all possible but accommodation could cancel us🤷🏼‍♀️

latissimusdorsi · 17/05/2021 11:54

Now all the vulnerable groups are vaccinated Gov really needs to move on now from counting cases and base it on hospital numbers.

WouldBeGood · 17/05/2021 11:57

Christ, I hope not @titsintiers!

Are we back to getting daily briefings now?
Noooooooo!!!!!!
titsintiers · 17/05/2021 12:03

Usually I'm in agreement and can't be doing with the daily chat but I want to know what the plan for dealing with the Glasgow issue is pronto.

dementedma · 17/05/2021 12:19

I have a urine infection. GP wont see me but informed me that the Pharmacy now dispenses anti biotics so phone them. The pharmacy said sure, come on in for a consultation. I told them I was isolating for 10 days as ordered by law. They said, oh, well we can only dispense face to face. That's the rules.
I said, I cant see you face to face. That's the rules.
Me - so what do I do now?
Them - no idea!

Give me strength.

This is ridiculous. Also, untreated, a urine infection can be far more serious-dare I say it- than a dose of covid! Get back on to your GP to be sorted, that’s not acceptable or your pharmacist fault- but why is there not a solution in place for folk isolating🤷‍♀️
Lockdownbear · 17/05/2021 12:37

I'd phone your GP back, they should be able to do a prescription and send it to the pharmacy.

I've just realised this thread it here when the last one locked me out.

I think the Government are between a rock and hard place but at the same time what I absolutely blame them for is not getting the vaccines in heavily populated areas done quickly enough.

To the poster wanting to visit Orkey, take an test and go. If I can spot German cars stoating round Lanarkshire you can go visit Orkney.

I hope I'm wrong but we could be in this a while yet.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 17/05/2021 12:39

That's absolutely ridiculous @dementedma

latissimusdorsi · 17/05/2021 12:43

Oh god @dementedma That is "computer says no" at its best!

WouldBeGood · 17/05/2021 12:51

Ring the GP back @dementedma and if they won’t help ring 111 or just go to the pharmacy

OP posts:
mibbelucieachwell · 17/05/2021 12:56

Oh dementedma no wonder you're a demented ma. I hope your GP gets you a prescription ASAP.

DH won't break the rules to go to the far north and Orkney. I don't think his relations would have us anyway. Sad

I think I'll try to get to London unless the hotel says we're not allowed. But how would they know which level we're in? How can it be legal to stop us going to another part of the same country? The country that has just recorded my negative lateral flow test. The country that has just procured the vaccines used in Scotland. AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

And another thing Grin Last Tuesday Nicola said the slight increase in Scottish numbers was due to Moray . Well it bloody wasn't. It was plain to see from the publicly available data. I know this cos I'm one of those sad people who follow the numbers. So all the Glasgow business owners who are normal people and don't obsess over the numbers like me were shocked on Friday. They then had to give away the extra food they had ordered in and answer all the calls from customers cancelling their restaurant bookings.
