The football crowds are absolutely wild. Some neighbours have a gazebo and bouncy castle and are partying hard! I don't care btw good luck to them but NS is going to use this as an excuse to keep glasgow in level 3

forfucksakenett · 15/05/2021 16:59

Plus these idiots could celebrate at home. Pretty hard to stop an immigration truck from moving from the comfort of your couch.

I dread to think the impact on Glasgow. Of both events actually. The football one will inevitably be worse because, like you say there are more of them, and I guess they'll be drinking. Looking forward to the chants all night wishing all sorts of violence and death on catholics 😭🙈

WouldBeGood · 15/05/2021 17:01

I’m no rangers fan but I could get in about a celebration just now

Why not book somewhere and go out @WouldBeGood ?

WouldBeGood · 15/05/2021 17:08

@forfucksakenett hypothermia 😂

I'm sure you've got a lovely jacket! It's 17 degrees here today! Perfect temperature 🤒.

Have some friends round then?

latissimusdorsi · 15/05/2021 17:11

@WouldBeGood DH and I went out for drink about 6pm yesterday. I was so well wrapped up sitting in the sunshine I nearly metedGrin

Still, felt really good to do something normal

Scottishskifun · 15/05/2021 17:12

😂 It's currently 9 degrees here!
Last year I was sunbathing in the garden this year I had a fleece jacket and woolly hat on!

latissimusdorsi · 15/05/2021 17:13

Nearly melted!!

WouldBeGood · 15/05/2021 17:14

But that’s not allowed @forfucksakenett!

I went to outdoor pub the other week. Never again - took me hours to warm up, had to go to bed fully clothed 😂

Hmmm if I was as desperate as you are to socialise then I think, given the rules change from Monday, I'd be making an exception!

Maybe you've been railing so long that you like it now.

WouldBeGood · 15/05/2021 17:31

You need a hot water bottle next time. Keeps you well cosy.
rookiemere · 15/05/2021 17:56

Apparently The Railway Bridge at South Queensferry provides hot water bottles and blankets. Or in Edinburgh Black Ivy has outdoor heaters.
As long as it's not actively raining we've been going for an apres ski vibe - at least the ski clothing gets a bit of an outing this season, even though it appears to have shrunk.

forfucksakenett · 15/05/2021 18:00

@WouldBeGood I actually didn't mean that as cheekily as it sounded. Sorry.

WouldBeGood · 15/05/2021 18:04

That’s ok @forfucksakenett

I’ll be very happy to stop railing, believe me 😂

Yes definitely. Hopefully you have some nice plans of some sort coming up. Thanks

Ladylunchalot · 15/05/2021 19:06

@Brcaml not sure where you live but if you're in Lanarkshire contact lcctdrivers.com/ Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust as they have volunteer drivers. They do a marvelous job and were a godsend when my mum had to go to the Beatson.

titsintiers · 15/05/2021 19:08

I suppose both are mass gatherings but the football just fucks me off more. Drove from Braehead to city centre earlier and lots of them walking across the m8 bridges making a mockery of the rest of them.

Plus one of the kids did a number 1 and 2 in the toilet about 30 nanoseconds after I'd cleaned it. Bloody savages.

titsintiers · 15/05/2021 19:09

*the rest of us, so enraged I can't chuffing type properly.

Ooh I'm off to the black Ivy next week.
riverrunning · 16/05/2021 17:29

Oooh unexpected sunshine and temps north of 10! Not bad!!

rookiemere · 16/05/2021 18:01

@Groovee can you report back on the Black Ivy please? Due to go there in June for afternoon tea and not sure if I need to dress for warmth or style.
