ScotlandUnited · 15/05/2021 06:48

parks bum

Scottishskifun · 15/05/2021 07:04

I feel very flat after yesterday but actually it's made me more determined to enjoy myself and do things (within limits of covid recovery).

Booked another holiday to England last night did pick a place which has low numbers throughout to hedge our bets it won't get cancelled but hopefully not!

titsintiers · 15/05/2021 07:22

Good idea @Scottishskifun we all need something to look forward to.

How is the recovery going?

Scottishskifun · 15/05/2021 07:26

It's a bit frustrating as it's been slow last 2 weeks I am improving but still off work and have to constantly remind myself not to do too much in a day!

But I am managing more time playing with DS even if I'm just sitting which gives me a huge boost 😊

titsintiers · 15/05/2021 07:36

I'm glad there are small improvements Smile

Groovee · 15/05/2021 07:43

Glad you are getting better @Scottishskifun ❤️

I’m railing that my best friend has put a post on Facebook this morning about not wanting hugs from 17th. I’m hoping she means that for general folk and will be happy for us to hug. Il be so upset if she won’t hug me.

Haudyourwheesht · 15/05/2021 07:57

Checking in. I'm in Glasgow so will be railing for some time yet I'm sure. I was hoping I could stop watching her bloody briefings.

riverrunning · 15/05/2021 08:32

Hoping things aren't as bad as they currently seem.

RaspberryCoulis · 15/05/2021 08:43

We had our first family meal out last night since last October.

Despite the silly rules about having to put on a mask to walk the 10 feet from the door of the restaurant to the table, it was lovely to have food that I hadn't cooked and to have someone else do the washing up afterwards.

Zero cases in my neighbourhood area and all neighbouring neighbouring areas for 7 days. Current rates for the whole of East Dunbartonshire are 26 per 100k. So we should be, according their own figures, Level 1, approaching Level 0. And... we're not.

But we'll just keep doing what we're doing. Have had friends in the house and DD is having a couple of friends over for pizza later, they have been through such shit with the "exams which are not exams" fiasco and need to let their hair down.

We've also abandoned the lateral flow tests, the kids find them intrusive and uncomfortable and they're all old enough to decide for themselves whether they want to do them or not. So we're not.

Was really down last night after NS’s announcement
Really can’t see any justification for it
Having friends over for dinner tonight, weather not great so we will be inside
Looking forward to it

rookiemere · 15/05/2021 08:59

I'm now worried that our multi family holiday with relatives at the end of June in England won't happen after all.

I can't believe we're back to this so quickly and/or that I was stupid enough to believe that it would definitely take place. Still at least we went down to see them in Bamburgh last Sunday and had a wonderful day on the sand dunes and in pub beer gardens.

riverrunning · 15/05/2021 09:20

I'm trying to think this won't go the same way as all the other times due to the vaccine ramp ups.

Fingers crossed.

I'm hoping for better weather too! Please Scottish late spring and summer, now would be timely to put in an appearance!

titsintiers · 15/05/2021 09:55

🤞 I'm usually a very rational person but with recent events I am struggling not to have panic and ffs as a first reaction to any Covid news.

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 15/05/2021 10:08

Just placemarking for now finishing reading the other thread but I shall be back to rail shortly

jabbathebutt · 15/05/2021 12:19

so after ages waiting for my jag (I'm vulnerable) I had my first one in April.

I've now gotten a letter inviting me for my first jag next week.

Bit confused - can I still go even though its my second not first?

How do I get this corrected? Bit worried they might cancel if I point out the mistake.

Anyone know what to do?

Brcaml · 15/05/2021 12:20

This has me utterly gutted and a bit scared. I have to travel to city centre on train then catch a connecting train to hyndland for treatment at Beatson in Hyndland. I live miles away and don't drive so the price of a taxi is astronomical - I know it's not likely that I will catch anything walking to my connection but it's being on the train with other people that I'm worrying about. My immune system is on the floor just now and I know I'm being a bit irrational but I just wish covid would fuck the fuck off.

Brcaml · 15/05/2021 12:21

Sorry for the rant.

WouldBeGood · 15/05/2021 12:22

Could someone give you a lift @Brcaml?
