That's lovely would, that boy deserves a wee treat.

WouldBeGood · 04/06/2021 17:26

Thanks guys. I’m feeling quite emotional.

In true teenage fashion he's really embarrassed by my praising him 😂 But a treat definitely in store.

mibbelucieachwell · 04/06/2021 21:52

Polite, hardworking and a pleasure to teach is EPIC wouldbgood.

Only the music teachers enjoyed teaching my two

runningpink · 04/06/2021 22:28

WouldBeGood · 05/06/2021 07:15

ResilienceWanker · 05/06/2021 08:29

Ahhhh, well done not so mini wouldbegood! It's always lovely to hear your offspring are well thought of outside your family! All the warm fuzzies. And, yes, what lidlfix said Grin (and I should hope he's not been licking grass In The Current Situation anyway...)

Im railing that im going to work in an over hot stuffy shop all day wearing a mask and i cant be arsed. At least the train is quiet and theres more carriages on for folk to spread out. Im really not enjoying my job these days but retail is shit just now and theres not a lot else i can do. So im fed up and tired. I want to sit besides the solway firth and watch the tide come in. I love it there.

WouldBeGood · 05/06/2021 10:21

@ssd that sounds pants. But I’m glad to hear the Solway love. It’s underrated down there.

I really do appreciate all you retail staff who’ve been keeping everything going in pretty difficult circumstances.

@ssd I think shop staff, along with nhs/emergency services and teachers have all moved couple rungs up the sainthood ladder this past yearHalo

mibbelucieachwell · 05/06/2021 13:22

ssd people who moan about others not wearing masks are never people who have to wear them at work ime. Hmm I hope your day goes in quickly today.

15% of my music pupils are self-isolating. From 2 different schools in East Dun.

Woohoo!

It won't be long till people go back to hating workshy bastard teachers though. "What do they need all those holidays for, anyway?" Grin

ssd · 05/06/2021 17:47

I'm on the train going home now. Its busy but I'm keeping away from folks. Shop wasn't busy but we're short staffed and its very hot and stuffy. Doesn't seem to be any air conditioning on. Thats nothing new. All the staff are complaining but no one listens. Most customers are fine although we have the odd ..ahem...grumpy person. Everyone is fed up with rules and masks and most folk realise its not the sales assistants who make the rules up.

Anyway thanks for the support, am glad to be going home to put my sore feet up.

runningpink · 06/06/2021 21:16

Hope your feet are well rested @ssd

How is the holiday @shouldistop

Hope everyone is doing ok and has had a nice weekend?

WouldBeGood · 06/06/2021 21:24

Hi, @runningpink. I had a slightly unrelaxing dinner at a friend’s house on Friday; then a nice lunch out with grown up DD yesterday; and an impromptu bbq with DS at my DP’s today. So good overall! But I’m still really anxious, weirdly. How about you @runningpink?

OP posts:
Groovee · 06/06/2021 21:48

Jeez, dd turned down dinner out with friends during the week... they've all tested positive for Covid.... Only dd out of her group is fully vaccinated but now her friends and their families are isolating.

latissimusdorsi · 06/06/2021 21:58

Phew @Groovee that was close!
Last thing Mr G needs at moment is Covid brought into the house

ssd · 06/06/2021 22:00

@WouldBeGood, why are you anxious?

WouldBeGood · 06/06/2021 22:03

@ssd I don’t know really, just scared the way the world is going, I think. And I have a lot of things going on. It’s unpleasant. But it’s been a nice day and nice weather

OP posts:
ssd · 06/06/2021 22:07

Its just such a weird time, isn't it?

WouldBeGood · 06/06/2021 22:11

Yes, I think that’s exactly it @ssd. Surreal.
