I feel quite anxious just now. Finish work 2 weeks tomorrow and looking forward to some downtime.

Cases seem to be rising again in Edinburgh. 2 schools have had to close recently due to outbreaks and another has 4 classes isolating. Seems to be steaming through children right now.

Yes I had a nice weekend actually, met friends both days which was nice. Although my legs are feeling it today from the exercise!
Im in two minds about everything, making the most of seeing people but the fear of being stopped again is always there.

Mr G is doing well. He's getting his staples out this morning. He's getting braver at moving too.

I think i am actually. But i can't say for sure as i wake up feeling different every day. If i keep away from the news i feel better, and we've been going lots of nice drives to scenic places which is lovely and refreshing. A lot of my problems is my job and how unsafe i feel there.

I dreamt last night I was on the special residential interment for fat people awaiting second jags (though I was supposed to get to go somewhere on a plane at the end of it) 😂

Good your feeling wee bit better @ssd. Think we all really benefit from staying away from the news sometimes. The reporting is all doom and gloom, even when it's good news! Getting out and about in this lovely weather is making things seem a bit more normal

@ssd would a change in career be a option? Call centres, civil service jobs (includes all types of dept Inc SG) etc all look for people on a fairly regular basis.
Very few are people facing. You will be surprised what is transferable from retail especially customer relations type positions.

My rail this morning is we are in limbo land! DS has had a fever but we can't do a covid test as he's had covid in last 90 days and Dr's refuses to see him without a negative covid test arghhhhh!!!! Even the Dr we spoke to said it's extremely unlikely to be covid as he's had it so still has high antibody protection but can't do much about it. He keeps spiking around 40 ffs so we are left trying to keep it under control and hope that it's not a infection and just a different childhood virus!

@runningpink holiday is great, thanks. We spent 6 hours at the beach yesterday and will do the same today. Ds1 is so happy just playing in the water and sand and ds2 is pretty happy either napping in pram or looking around at people so overall as relaxing as a holiday with 2 little ones can be
It rained the other day so we went to a really good soft play.

Schools are back so you might find something we found Yorkshire dales are underrated and less well known.

Ach, I have a couple of things booked in Scotland but no idea if anything will be allowed. Just want my life back.

But here’s some good news on vaccines and hospitalisations

Well thats great news, roll on the vaccines. At least thats something they fandans have got right.

@WouldBeGood, what do you want to get back to? My life has opened up a bit again with getting away to nice places in Scotland. And I'm working as normal. I don't miss pubs or restaurants, i didn't spend much there. What is it your missing?
Is it just the feeling of normality or is it more than that?

And yes, the vaccines are a triumph. But I don’t understand why proper freedom doesn’t follow.

Ach, @WouldBeGood I know how you feel. I feel so numb. No energy, no enthusiasm for anything. So much in the world going in the wrong direction.

Yes. I want galleries, pubs, gigs, restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, holidays, all without masks and booking and staying safe!!

Spontaneity and just life.

I said before on here I’ve had a really troubled life and was only just getting to a nice place with my new DP when all this happened. We decided life was too short and we should make the most of what’s left. Ha! Didn’t go so well!
