Yes very true @ssd

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 19:33

Back to my old plan for the nightclub/soft play combo 😃

titsintiers · 01/06/2021 19:36

Imagine the fights that would break out at soft play if there was a bar installed. Wonder world at Tradeston would be even more edgy!

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 19:39

Just pop into mine, @titsintiers and you will see....

My favourite moment of soft play was when my giant boy was terrorised by a tiny girl in a tutu

Night club / softplay combo!

That could be a really successful business venture.
I remember one of the nightclub near me did an Under Age Disco open until 10.30 or something, closed for an hour and reopen for the real disco at 11.30!

Can you get a fold away Softplay frame? Or softplay round the edges, cafe on the dance floor?

Has to be a way to make it a multi purpose place.

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 19:44

Wait til you see the ball pit!

titsintiers · 01/06/2021 19:47

Doubling as a mosh pit?

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 19:51

If you’re so minded, @titsintiers 😂

Soft Nightclub Party? Catchy initials for the logo

Very happy to hear that Mr G is home!

ResilienceWanker · 01/06/2021 20:13

Oh yes - glad MrG is back!
LOL at the soft nightclub... Genius idea! And possibly a loophole, given nightclubs aren't allowed properly, even in tier 0.

Coquohvan · 01/06/2021 20:38

Been to a night club in Ibiza that had a foam bubbles pit, that was fun oh those were the days. 🥳

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 20:46

I was too sensible in my youth @Coquohvan so am growing old disgracefully

OP posts:
titsintiers · 01/06/2021 20:56

Quite right. Life is too bloody short.

ssd · 01/06/2021 21:13

Why are nightclubs not allowed in tier 0??

Bloody hell, the big yins will never get a lumber at this rate

RaspberryCoulis · 01/06/2021 22:21

Because you have to stay SAFE, ssd, and just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Who needs a nightclub anyway when you could be sitting at home doing something suitably puritanical instead?

Lockdownbear · 01/06/2021 23:52

Because Queen Nic is too old for softplay and too old for clubbing. And only the riff-raff frequent them we won't have them open.

BTW did you know you needed to be 18 to buy matches?

titsintiers · 02/06/2021 06:09

I really feel for people in their late teens/ early twenties. It really feels like a while before things will be properly normal for them.

@Scottishskifun there was something on the radio when I was out running (didn’t catch all the details sorry) saying there was a call for long covid clinics/support etc
Nothing set up as yet but hopefully that means something will be soon

If I hear the news report again I will try and pay more attention

Thanks fingers crossed currently it's like pulling teeth trying to get any further support. Had my physio appointment which was on the phone..... Not sure how you can assess the situation in my legs, mobility range and pain point down a telephone but there we go!

I'm now setting up private physio and other therapy sessions which I can just about afford but there shouldn't be a 2 tier recovery system those who can pay and those in Scotland who can't and struggling to get help with this.

runningpink · 02/06/2021 08:07

It’s a GP turn MSP who says doctors can’t focus on patients and help with long covid. Need specialist clinics.

It was on radio borders news bulletin, might be available online to listen?

The on phone physio is a joke! If you can get your hair cut in close contact then no reason why can’t see physio in person. I’m glad you are able to afford privately but you shouldn’t have to.

Scottishskifun · 02/06/2021 08:17

@runningpink thanks will see if I can listen back to it.
Yep definitely agree, I've tried contacting my local MSP and just got the stock response that SG is conducting research, GP are best placed to assist etc. They really aren't as they don't have the time and can only really do very basic tests or send referrals to long wait lists!

ResilienceWanker · 02/06/2021 08:29

Yes. Well, it's "nightclubs and adult entertainment venues" (ahem) that are closed in tier 0. Which are obviously basically the same thing to the SG. Won't someone think of the poor stag parties?

I didn't know that about matches. How can we be trusted to vote and join the army at 16, but not light a scented candle?!

That sounds crazy about the physio! I can kind of understand that would have been how things would be done last spring... but surely now they need to be seeing people?! Private practitioners are definitely working, but some NHS are too (mum was on a rollercoaster of specialists last week... dentist, podiatrist, physio, osteopath, optician, cardiologist! Mix of private and NHS) but it seems to be a huge lottery as to who gets seen. Fingers crossed you can soon ski ...
