Hope that's the case grovee that he's home soon

Groovee · 29/05/2021 11:54

Mr G has a temp and his wound is hot. He's had bloods done and scans, as well as swabs.

I'm going in to see him shortly. Really hoping it's not blooming sepsis again.

SoMuchForSummerLove · 29/05/2021 12:38

Oh dear! Fingers crossed they can just whack anti-bs into him and that'll stop it in its tracks.

WouldBeGood · 29/05/2021 13:31

@Groovee oh no! Really hope they can get him sorted today 💕

Sending virtual hugs! Sounds like they have caught whatever it is quickly though so some pumping with antibiotics should hopefully do the trick!
shouldistop · 29/05/2021 20:19

Oh god poor mrG!

No railing from me today. Had a nice drink with my friend last night. Had another great morning at David Lloyd with DH and the boys then a couple of hours at the park in the afternoon. Both boys been sleeping for an hour now and I'm about to go for a bath then bed - bliss Smile

WouldBeGood · 29/05/2021 20:23

Sounds great @shouldistop! Glad you’ve had a nice time

That sounds amazing shouldistop! So glad you had a good time. You deffo deserved it. And Yay for a day of non rail.

I'm still internally fuming for all of you in Glasgow. It's just so unfair. Angry Though hoping the walk up jag centres will get things moving in the right direction if only they could have sorted them earlier, and for younger folk, and maybe move them to Edinburgh too

And also for you groovee Flowers What a nightmare you're having...(and MrG of course) Sounds like they've caught whatever it is early though, so hope the drugs squash whatever it is having a party in him.

runningpink · 30/05/2021 17:30

@Groovee how is Mr G?

Glad you had a good time @shouldistop

Iv had a better few days, even managed drinks and food in the garden with a friend which was lovely. Nice to have company and take my mind off things a bit

titsintiers · 30/05/2021 20:55

Hope Mr G is doing ok @Groovee, you guys definitely deserve a holiday 🌷

titsintiers · 30/05/2021 20:55

Glad you've had a better few days @runningpink and that you've other friends to hang out with.

WouldBeGood · 30/05/2021 20:58

Thars good to hear @runningpink! Nice to have some actual fun.

My night in Helensburgh was fun, and had a nice weekend too.

Groovee · 30/05/2021 21:10

@runningpink that sounds lovely.

Mr G is looking better than yesterday. He's utterly exhausted but he'll see physio tomorrow. I think as he's never had any surgery before it's a struggle to comprehend just what the pain etc that comes along with it. His wound takes up his whole tummy.

I'm just done though. I really can't wait until the 22nd June to finish work. My niece was 21 today. Had a lovely garden catch up. It's really helped me have a positive day.

hilbil21 · 30/05/2021 21:18

@WouldBeGood glad to hear you enjoyed Helensburgh, where did you go?

WouldBeGood · 30/05/2021 21:29

Stayed at the Riva hotel. It was lovely. Had a nice dinner and a stroll along the front 😊

I’m not surprised your done @Groovee you have had it so hard. Not long until the 22nd
I hope Mr G physio goes well. Will he be in hospital for long? I’m really glad you have been able to visit him

Sun is shining again!

hilbil21 · 31/05/2021 10:49

@WouldBeGood oh Riva looks lovely. I would like to stay there but literally live a 7 minute walk away Grin

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 11:18

😂 that’s maybe a bit close @hilbil21! If anyone else looking for a wee break I got a bargain on Itison of £79 dinner, bed and breakfast.

You must be so tired grovee what a strain.

I'm railing and wailing about Edinburgh weather - so far the actual amount of sun has been so much less than expected. My hopes may have been unrealistically high though.

Still waiting for the haar to burn off again.

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 11:42

Good vibes to you and MrG @Groovee.

@riverrunning it’s sunny here but have booked pictures for this afternoon.. Sod’s law!

Typical! I've picnic plans but I've donned a thick cardigan and jettisoned suntan lotion!

ResilienceWanker · 31/05/2021 12:16

Glad to hear of the nice weekends! I was looking at that same offer on the Riva wouldbegood! Looks lovely. But I chickened out due to weather uncertainties and having a miserable windy damp time at the seaside do that frequently in Portobello... No need to travel for that experience

Yes to the weather rail. It is starting to clear up now in our part of Edinburgh, though, so hopefully it will for you too river! Was like this yesterday too, and it did get warm by the afternoon. One of the occasions where our ever-optimistic phrase "it'll burn off" actually was true.

My rail is the predictable way we're getting told we "may not" be moving down to tier 1 next week as planned. Not surprising - but either they are going with the link between cases and deaths being broken by the vaccine (as per NS last week) or they aren't. If we're in a constant panic about rising cases, when will things ever get back to normal?! Grrrr.

frasersmummy · 31/05/2021 12:37

Renfrewshire currently tops the number of cases per 100k so we won't be moving to tier 1.

Of course our numbers were really low till they set up asymptomatic testing ..

Now we have the "none exams" disrupted as half of a year is self isolating because of a virus so deadly they had no symptoms

Honestly I don't get it.. I am sure with only 6 people in ICU in the whole of Scotland they could have held off pushing the numbers and the fear up till the schools stopped in a few weeks time

Sorry probs a bit of an unreasonable rant but I'm sick of the pressure the kids are being put under..and now it's dragging on..the kids need a break

Y0uCann0tBeSer10us · 31/05/2021 13:09

I have to confess I've stopped doing the asymptomatic testing now that the link between cases and serious illness is broken, despite having always followed the rules until now (even the stupid ones). I'm not sure that picking up masses of asymptomatic cases that will likely never cause any problems is helpful at this stage, when the most vulnerable are double jagged and as protected as they'll ever be. If the SG are finding it difficult to move away from 'cases' as they seem to be despite indicating to the contrary, inflating the numbers will just prolongue all this nonsense.

I'll be gutted if we're held back because of masses of positive tests that aren't translating to serious illness.

WouldBeGood · 31/05/2021 13:14

I’ll join in with this railing. They’d better bloody free us. Or I’m going on a rampage!
