Is a hypocrite.

Boris will be 'picking a fight with the democratic wishes of the Scottish people' and ' the only people that can decide the future of Scotland are the Scottish people'

Forgive me if i'm being stupid but didn't we already have a vote on independence, how did that go. Oh that's right......not how NS wanted so she ignores the democratic wishes of the Scottish people and pushes for Indy 2.

Laughable how she comes out with this stuff.
@Scottishskifun it’s a developing area and we are doing brilliantly
We do great at creating the energy but that doesn't come with big revenue when it can't be easily stored so exported reliably.
As said the big money for renewable industry is the design and manufacturing which currently isn't done in Scotland.

Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:39

@Graffitiqueen just stop it. There is no country that can achieve it’s full potential without self determination.

Tell me what you like about Scotland and what you think we do well? It’s all moans, groans and snarks from the unionists on here.

So you can't justify it. Thought so. Next!

Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:42

@Scottishskifun but its coming, and money will be made in the long term. More importantly we are addressing climate change and the figures improve year on year. It’s very much a Scottish success story. We’ll attract energy demanding industries in the future as the imperative to decarbonise increases in the next few years.

Sounds fantastic. Has it ever occurred to you that independence might stunt any furniture progress if we're doing so well just now?

Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 21:44

Lol future not furniture!!

Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:44

@Graffitiqueen what?!

You haven’t answered my question? Do you live in Scotland?

Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:45

It won’t

Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 21:47
@Graffitiqueen what?!

Yes I stay in Scotland. What's your point here? Are you insinuating no voters can't possibly stay here?

Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 21:47

@Newstepchild

It won’t
How do you know? Putting up borders will have effects that can't always be predicted as has been seen with brexit.
Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:49

My point was you didn’t answer my wuestion about what you like about Scotland and what we do well

Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:50

*question

Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 21:51

@Newstepchild

My point was you didn’t answer my wuestion about what you like about Scotland and what we do well
But you haven't answered any of my questions? Why should I answer your irrelevant question?
Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 21:52

I vote no because I love my country and insinuating that I hate it is really quite offensive but what I've come to expect from nats.

WouldBeGood · 12/05/2021 21:52

Scotland is great. That’s why I don’t want to see it trashed in pursuit of a needless and doomed nationalism.

Exactly!!
Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 21:56

I didn’t insinuate that you hated it but there’s nothing positive on this thread. I’ve answered all your questions!

Why do you have to be so snarky about everything? There’s really no need.

Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 21:59

I see independence as a direct threat to my country and my family's future wellbeing. I will continue to pushback and hard against any bullshit.
WouldBeGood · 12/05/2021 21:59

These threads always just have Nats saying anyone asking questions about the grand plan for independence is snarky and getting at them

Graffitiqueen · 12/05/2021 22:02

You say you have answered all my questions but you really really have not answered a single one. Again. Why if Scotland is doing so well with renewables is independence necessary to make future progress?
TootsPye · 12/05/2021 22:02

The whole idea of "self-determination" is problematic. Who is this "self"? Look how divided we are as individuals. And the same goes for "potential". How do we know when a nation is reaching its full potential? What is its potential right now? Is everything going to change for the better if we are free from rUK or will it reveal how divided Scotland is within itself?

Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 22:04

Questions are fine but the tone is snarky at best.

Im pro independence but not a member of the SNP and probably would vote for another party after independence.

There’s lots of things we do well in Scotland but we don’t make enough of them.

So what? Are you the tone police? Strikes me that people only complain about the tone when they can't answer the questions and realise they've been caught out. ..
Newstepchild · 12/05/2021 22:07

Why would any country not want self determination?

doorornottodoor · 12/05/2021 22:07

The old argument that if you are truly Scottish you’ll vote yes. I love my country deeply which is why I’ll be voting no. I don’t want to see it go down the tubes.
