Wish I'd just got a refund from Tui last year. But no, I decided to just roll the holiday over until this year. Now they're saying they're still planning holidays to amber list countries. And we can only reschedule, not get a refund. My fucking head is nipping with the unknown.

The vaccine does make it go away in my view.

Now vulnerable are done, time to live again.

Hiya! I don't post as much anymore using this username. I use another now thanks to certain posters. Plus I'm conscious I moan all the time about face masks lol.

I'm actually desperately looking for a remote working role so as to avoid the dreaded return to work question. Its a shame as my colleagues are nice but they don't seem to get the additional difficulties for me and I've to 'just try'. yeah like it can be switched on and off. sigh

Oh, @jabbathebutt I so agree with you on the masks. Utterly fed up of them. I’ve been quite slapdash about wearing mine recently and might just quit it altogether I think.

Same here @Justmuddlingalong. Took refund on flights but packages have moved. Going too c/x DLP for June even if France is Green have checked they offer a full refund as not going to be the same experience for our little GC with no parades or characters etc.

Totally agree on the masks. I'll wear one if I have to, but it really does suck whatever joy there is from an activity. That and the booking/ lack of spontaneity. I thought I'd be rushing to do stuff as soon as it was allowed, but in practice I'm putting things off and stressing about them because of the masks and rules and thinking I'll get it wrong.

I think I'm hoping that in a month or so they'll be dropped and I'll be able to go without all the faff. But then I remember I'm in Scotland, so i probably won't, and I'll just be caught in a spiral of stress and procrastination. I do worry about my response to it all, really. Maybe I just need a slap and someone telling me to get my act together and I'll enjoy it when I'm there except I wont

Does anyone have a date/time for the next update from Nic? I had presumed that since the elections were now over that there would be more info like England have had.

I'm guessing on Tuesday as that's generally when they have done them.

I really hope we don't go back to daily updates given they stopped having any real announcements in them!

Jabbed this week here - pleased but I'd like to see it mean more freedom, and agree with wouldbegood that we need to be addressing the world wide vulnerable, much as we've benefitted from it the vaccine nationalism hasn't been a moral high point.

Mr G has his pre-op tomorrow. He has to isolate from Thursday. Wonder when that will all stop.

We had friends over at the weekend...... Inside! Was bloody marvellous and really lifted my spirits!

Will await the lecture from NS about just because you can blah blah blah from the 17th! We are escaping to England hopefully so can report back on the differences! 😂

@Scottishskifun it’s amazing how much better a bit of normality makes you feel! We had people over last weekend and it was lovely.

Back at PT and looking forward to gym classes next week.

@WouldBeGood here's hoping you really start to see the big differences between England and Scotland past the 17th of May and especially past June!
England no limits past 21st of June, Scotland - no night clubs, still restrictions on how many people allowed in your own home, restrictions on numbers meeting outside of your home etc etc etc!

I can't see people accepting such a big difference all summer!

Great news on the vaccines. Pfizer data shows risk of death cut by 97% after two doses. Both it and AZ 80% after one dose. AZ two dose data to follow.

No reason for continued restrictions now.

Oh, and bbc predicting a traffic light travel system for us too..
