I’ve been on it, not on it. Thankfully.

I won't cancel, it wouldn't be fair to her. She's self employed and has had very little help from the government the past year.
I know it will cheer me up having them done.
Thank god dh is quiet today, he's making me some lunch just now.
Trying to decide whether to take the baby's dummy away or not. Think it's causing more sleep problems that it's solving.

dancemom · 16/04/2021 11:35

Personal whinge here.

I'm so fed up today, should be glad it's the weekend but nothing to look forward to. Friends all planning things with their families, I'm recently single so have no one to do an activity with and I'm just really fed up.

WouldBeGood · 16/04/2021 12:06

Oh, @dancemom that is rubbish 💐

latissimusdorsi · 16/04/2021 13:01

Aw dancemomThanks

If you've got a garden Could you invite couple friends round for drink in the sunshine after work? That's what I'm doing today

dancemom · 16/04/2021 13:04

I don't unfortunately, was hoping one of my friends would organise something but they all have plans with family

I'm just feeling sorry for myself today but thank you both for the empathy

ResilienceWanker · 16/04/2021 13:18

Oh dancemom. Don't feel bad about whinging. That does sound crap. Have some Flowers and Wine.

ResilienceWanker · 16/04/2021 13:19

And also to shouldistop! You know "this too will pass" but I don't blame you for having had enough. The sleepless nights just seem endless Sad.

Lockdownbear · 16/04/2021 13:52

@dancemom that's rubbish!

My day out was bopped on the head my LO having a dicky tummy. Sad He seems fine happily running about but don't want to venture too far from the loo.

@shouldistop It's probably no consolation at all but I was saying to DH that I barely remember the sleep deprivation that came from DD2. I know she was a bad sleeper but it didn't take long to leave it behind. 💐

shouldistop · 16/04/2021 16:07

Almost made it through the day. Going to pick ds1 up from nursery soon then we're going to have a picnic in the park and he can have a wee play and we'll just come home in time for baths & bed.

WouldBeGood · 16/04/2021 17:03

That sounds nice @shouldistop. Are your nails nice? I painted mine neutral with sparkly bits

OP posts:
shouldistop · 16/04/2021 17:42

Purple and sparkly, they got admiring comments from a couple of 4yo girls at the park Grin

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 16/04/2021 20:49

shouldistop, bet those admiring comments bucked you up no end!

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 16/04/2021 20:52

dancemom oh that IS rubbish. I guess people want to see family first, then friends. But still.

We rashly invited DCs and partners over tomorrow. One is already double-booked (with things costing money), so we thought we'd reschedule to Sunday, but it's determined to rain on Sunday, and nobody much fancies sitting in the garage ...

WouldBeGood · 16/04/2021 22:25

@shouldistop result!

WouldBeGood · 17/04/2021 18:27

Railing against all lockdown bollocks.

I’ve decided not to go out anywhere until they stop promising to “keep me safe”. It’s too shite.

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 17/04/2021 18:38

And the distancing rules the lunatic SG is proposing for hospitality will make it impossible for places to open anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
dancemom · 17/04/2021 18:57

@WouldBeGood I was reading about what restaurants and cafes are required to do, it's got to be impossible

WouldBeGood · 17/04/2021 19:03

@dancemom yes. It’s just awful. How can businesses be expected to survive this?

OP posts:
dancemom · 17/04/2021 19:12

I think many places won't be able to reopen due to size constraints and the costs of purchasing the required size of tables

WouldBeGood · 17/04/2021 19:17

I’m so downhearted

OP posts:
SempreSuiGeneris · 17/04/2021 19:31

At the risk of going full PollyAnna I think fully articulating the implications of SD in this way might finally demolish the facade. The rules last Summer and beyond implied these table arrangements. Everyone just chose to employ a bit of cognitive dissonance. Bit like it being perfectly OK to take off your mask to eat and drink but not to walk about silently with your mouth shut. Even now Eng regulations require outside patrons to list their details individually. If they are all at the same table they need to be all the same HH (unless English pubs already have 2m distancing as suggested by SG guidance - they don't) so this is totally inconsistent.

They can impose as much nonsensical lunacy as they like but I am another one who would sooner stay home.

Groovee · 17/04/2021 19:32

I'm fed up going on fb where the majority of my friends who live in England are out. Ds was 18 in October and still hasn't had his first drink out.

riverrunning · 17/04/2021 19:39

I can't believe the loos are still closed - ended up wasting £10 on a taxi home for a wee today in between kids hair cuts and a party as forgot no loos open.

I nearly knocked on friend's door and asked to borrow their convenience but realised this would be a step too far on the social faux pas!
