I see from BBC there might be level 1 in June, but that still doesn't allow the whole family to get together. Any indication of when actual normal will be?

WouldBeGood · 16/03/2021 15:13

I wonder if pt will be allowed 1:1

dancemom · 16/03/2021 15:15

That's allowed now @WouldBeGood

OP posts:
emmathedilemma · 16/03/2021 15:15

@WouldBeGood PT was allowed in level 3 last time when group classes weren't allowed indoors.

dancemom · 16/03/2021 15:15

Sorry @WouldBeGood I meant outdoors though

OP posts:
emmathedilemma · 16/03/2021 15:16

only outside @dancemom!

dancemom · 16/03/2021 15:17

Yes @emmathedilemma

My gym didn't allow PT in Level 3 however 🙁

jeez, i hope we can go south at the end of April or I'm going to go anyway mad

fluffyugg · 16/03/2021 15:18

@Y0uCann0tBeSer10us she didn't say when level 0 or no restrictions would be but she thought Summer at some point...

Beepbeeprichie · 16/03/2021 15:18

Any update on things that England can already do eg get workmen in for my new kitchen?! Grin

latissimusdorsi · 16/03/2021 15:21

@HadEnoughOfBears

If you were a beauty / nail salon when would you be expecting to open. My friend has posted on FB that they will be opening 5th April, do they come under 'hairdressers/barbers' ?

Close contact services 26th April. I'm sure that's what beautician and nail bar come under

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/03/2021 15:24

Think non essential house work from 26th April?

snowcoveredcampsies · 16/03/2021 15:27

What's the 🦄 border?

snowcoveredcampsies · 16/03/2021 15:27

This all seems like good news! Sad about indoor sports for kids mind you. They'll be mixing in schools anyway.

Scottishskifun · 16/03/2021 15:29

End of April for workmen/cleaners

Well I'm glad that I will no longer be breaking the law/have to look up weddings to attend in order to head into England!

mama4321 · 16/03/2021 15:31

@allWaxOnFeckOff
Most housework has been non essential here, since no one else has been allowed in Smile

(I know that's not what you meant!)

Scottishskifun · 16/03/2021 15:31

@snowcoveredcampsies

What's the 🦄 border?
The current England/Scotland travel ban across the border aka the unicorn border
Flossy05 · 16/03/2021 15:33

Pleased for all the businesses who can reopen- this great news. Not sure I agree that they have prioritised education but it is what it is. At the the kids can have a haircut before they go back to school.

HadEnoughOfBears · 16/03/2021 15:43

@latissimusdorsi

Thanks, that's what I thought. Not sure who's going to tell her 🙈

Lyricallie · 16/03/2021 15:45

I'm so happy! 50 for weddings from 26/4. So much sooner than I thought. I'm end of July and I'm starting to get excited again. I was originally having 110 guests but 50 will do me just fine.

Also I have a Scottish holiday booked for Oban and Skye, so I'm looking forward to getting down south to go. Also I'll need to see what's happening about maybe going down to Glasgow at the may bank holiday. Can't wait to see my mum. I feel more positive than I have in ages.

speedtalker · 16/03/2021 15:46

Having gone to pick my kids up from school, I'm still none the wiser what 'staying local' changes. Just now I leave my house to go to school, go do a food shop, or exercise (walking or cycling). What does staying local change if nothing is open anyway?

Also, as I had to rush off: were shoe shops going to be open on the 5th April? Kids' feet are all growing and schools generally being lax about uniform preeaster but not after....

snowcoveredcampsies · 16/03/2021 16:04

Thanks @Scottishskifun that's not as exciting as I'd hoped it would be 😀🦄

ResilienceWanker · 16/03/2021 16:12

Well, that's all sounding positive. I think (apart from hairdressers) it was as "trailled" last time, but there was a bit more certainty today, I thought. And she even mentioned actual normal. And hugging. Whoo hoo!

Did she say anything on stopping quarantine hotels - at least for holiday-kind-of-places - around the same time as starting international travel?

In the meantime, I'm a booking me some haircut.

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/03/2021 16:16

Jags up today but vast majority (22k) still in the 60-69 age group. Seems to be just under 25% (about 150k) of those still to be done though obviously they are doing some in lower age bands as well.

Mylittlesandwich · 16/03/2021 16:19

I've just booked a (refundable and cancel-able) hotel for the end of April. The plan is to see the in-laws outside. They haven't seen DS since he was tiny and I really want him to have a relationship with his whole family.
