Exactly
Obviously appreciate that they can’t change the past ,but it is a very serious matter that I don’t think should be minimised
If Scotland was ahead of England NS would have plenty to say

ApolloandDaphne · 16/03/2021 12:39

My DH is 57 and got his letter today inviting him to go for his vaccination on Sunday. This suits him well. We are in Fife and I have had mine already as I was in a different category.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 16/03/2021 13:23

And it's not just the numbers as of now. I know I'm repeating myself but in lagging by a couple of weeks it's been worse for infectivity at a population level.

UnderHisAye · 16/03/2021 14:19

Just checked the daily update and there were circa 34k first doses given yesterday, and just under 9k second doses. It's better, but it'll still need to improve quite a bit over the next couple of days to reach 400k this week.

Hairdressers in three weeks, woop woop Smile

speedtalker · 16/03/2021 14:38

What practical difference does the 'stay local' change make on the 2nd? I don't understand.

UnderHisAye · 16/03/2021 14:40

Well now we're advised to stay at home. Now we can go out and about in our own area.

ashmts · 16/03/2021 14:43

I'm with you @speedtalker, seems like pointless semantics. Not really a stay at home order when you're allowed to sit in your friend's garden. Good news about hairdressers and likely lifting of travel restrictions within Scotland though.

Scottishskifun · 16/03/2021 14:43

Hurrah the unicorn border is being lifted!

latissimusdorsi · 16/03/2021 14:46

Thanks @dancemom

No reason given why slight increase in numbers over this week!

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 16/03/2021 14:48

@Scottishskifun was that for May or June? I was too busy moaning to my BIL as we wanted to go away end of April

fluffyugg · 16/03/2021 14:48

All sounding so much more positive today. Did anyone hear anything about self catering reopening?

I think end of April but not 100% sure as was struggling to keep up!
Absofruitly · 16/03/2021 14:55

I guess holidays within Scotland are allowed from 26 April if the travel restrictions are being eased on that date, so self-catering will presumably open up in tandem.

Does that mean we can get away for the May weekends?

Hope for end of April early May not definite as depends on variants.

I've never been so happy to see a massive govt uturn!

dancemom · 16/03/2021 15:02

Doesn't it make such a difference having some dates to work towards?

OP posts:
HadEnoughOfBears · 16/03/2021 15:04

If you were a beauty / nail salon when would you be expecting to open.
My friend has posted on FB that they will be opening 5th April, do they come under 'hairdressers/barbers' ?

dancemom · 16/03/2021 15:09

I wondered if someone would ask this @HadEnoughOfBears as they were later to open the last time if I remember rightly

the unicorn border being lifted on an as yet unspecified date, bounded as being after 26 April? I'd hoped for more clarity there.

WouldBeGood · 16/03/2021 15:10

Any news on gyms?

dancemom · 16/03/2021 15:11

@WouldBeGood gyms on 26th April but only for individual training not indoor classes
