I don't use this username much anymore but wanted to give a jag update. For the record DH is not classed as my carer and whilst he's a key worker, its not in health or social care so not a priority group.

He's wondering if its cause he's a "fat bastard" but his BMI is under 40.

He had asthma and epilepsy as a child but nothing since his teenage years so that can't be it can it? No problems for nearly 20 years!

Sorry to hear that @WouldBeGood, we had similar with my lovely BiL who passed in September. It hadn't been sounding good and we hadn't seen him for a year so we took a quick trip down to se him a couple o weeks before. We were in his house and weren't allowed to be but otherwise DH wouldn't have seen his brother before he passed away. We could only stay for a little while (under an hour) as he was getting tired but we cherish that short visit like gold.

DH got his blue envelope today but was already done last week. I thought it was for me :(

Well I broke the rules today and I don’t give a rats a@@. DD was held up at work asked if I’d go and pick up DGD. I did and I gave her the biggest hugs and kisses in front of everyone at the school. Not saw any GC since Xmas day. It was blooming amazing.

My very elderly relative died tonight of cancer not diagnosed until very advanced “cos Covid”.

It meant I wasn’t able to see him beforehand, hadn’t seen him for over a year, and he’d spent that year shut up avoiding Covid. How is this right?

So sorry for your loss. I still think my dad could have been diagnosed earlier instead of having to turn yellow and pass away 20 days later. It really stinks x

@Groovee sorry I know you’ve had a blooming nightmare. My uncle was very elderly, but if they’d not been shit scared of the Covid we could at least have said goodbye. Really small family so it’s weird
