@IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021

The hate crime Bill just passed. I don't even think I can rail anymore
I feel sick about this, and quite shaken really.

Thanks *@WaxOnFeckOff* I know everyone doesn't feel the same way but instead of bringing it into this thread. I am so gutted
I have no idea why people all don't feel the same way. I really can't understand it.
WouldBeGood · 10/03/2021 21:39

I think people just don’t know the truth and how mad it is

This is my MP telling someone she is on the naughty list FFS, this is an odious man who's boyfriend continued to abuse Joanna Cherry after she reached out to this guy for support.

OldRailer · 10/03/2021 22:23

I remember that.

frasersmummy · 10/03/2021 23:01

Seems NS has changed her mind about tier 3.. I thhink she might be panicking about the election if she doesn't ease up

I'm getting my hair cut today and the greys covered!

So excited. Still waiting to hear what scraps of education the school can provide over the next 3 weeks given the ridiculous restrictions imposed on them by the SNP.

WouldBeGood · 11/03/2021 08:33

@RaspberryCoulis I am so jealous!!!

Are hairdressers opened?

RaspberryCoulis · 11/03/2021 09:20

No they're not. But my self-employed mobile hairdresser is happy to come to the house, and i'm happy to have her here.

WouldBeGood · 11/03/2021 10:13

I’d have mine here like a shot

Our school says we can expect less teacher interaction given they need to split face to face classes in 2 and provide remote support.

It's a bloody shambles.. I am really worried about my son's nat 5s he is a bright lad but not a self starter at all..

He works really hard in school but at home it's murder..
He needs to be back.. Full time.. Not in.a months time!! Aarrggh

Chrysanthemum5 · 11/03/2021 10:28

DD is in school this week as she is autistic and was really struggling with home schooling - makes a huge change to how she feels about her learning and herself. Next week the school will have the S1-3s back for 2 or 3 days but as a PP noted that means on the days they work at home there will be very limited teacher involvement. And I'm not blaming the schools for that I'm grateful that they have managed to pull something out of the shit show the government have made of this.

But I am truly fed up with this Covid elimination strategy - it's just not possible. This whole thing was about managing the flow of patients so the NHS didn't get overwhelmed not pretending we could eliminate it. When you add it to the total mess out education system is in it just makes me alternate between crying and being absolutely furious

goldengoldfish · 11/03/2021 10:34

Other than the report from the panel of 19 people, has there been any further attempt to understand what support there is in the population for the elimination strategy? I would genuinely like to know.

It seems to be such a huge decision with an enormous impact on how we live our lives, that surely there should be? And if they don't have the support for it, people won't comply, which makes it (even more) unachievable?

GirlLovesWorld · 11/03/2021 10:44

Well, but that's the job of governing isn't it? We elect them, they are tasked with making the decisions?

AgentCooper · 11/03/2021 10:54

@RaspberryCoulis oh my God I’m jealous. I haven’t had my hair cut since December 2019 Blush my colleagues got me to stand up during our Zoom meeting yesterday to see how long it was and they were all shocked. I look like a fucking Fraggle.

GirlLovesWorld · 11/03/2021 10:57

Down at Fraggle Rock
Take your hair out for the chop

Grin
anon444877 · 11/03/2021 11:00

also jealous. Despite buying various hair rescuing products, nothing has rescued my hair.

rookiemere · 11/03/2021 11:13

I'm glad the hairdresser can't see me at the moment. I've been doing quite well on the semi permanent home dyes, but the latest one was Mahogany and I've managed to turn my grey bits at the scalp copper coloured. It's not a great look and hopefully not noticeable at the internal interview I have tomorrow.

goldengoldfish · 11/03/2021 11:15

No, I know that's their job Grin. It's their job to make the decisions. My question was whether they had measured support. Because I don't think anyone quite had this type of decision in mind at the last election. And support is going to be crucial if it's going to work.

For what it's worth I'm not dissing the panel and it's something it must have been really interesting to be a part of. I just genuinely wondered whether SG had gauged support in the wider population.
