My neighbours, both late 50s got their appointment letters today in West Lothian.

WouldBeGood · 14/03/2021 09:44

In good news, a friend shared a statement from tge NHS which says they’re speeding up and gives a date for my age group (50) starting on 22nd

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 14/03/2021 10:20

That's good , but is that in Scotland? I just looked on the Omni vaccine calculator and my expected date is given as mid May - it's actually gone later since I last looked.

WouldBeGood · 14/03/2021 10:23

Yes, Scotland.. hang on I’ll see if I can link

WouldBeGood · 14/03/2021 10:25

Under 60s to begin getting vaccine invitations

dementedma · 14/03/2021 11:45

The new unpaid carers’ site goes live tomorrow so you can register and book a vaccine if you are an unpaid carer, regardless of your age

Groovee · 14/03/2021 13:04

That calculator still says as group 6, I should get my first dose April/May but I've had it! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 14/03/2021 13:36

Ah, that's encouraging! Thanks

PurpleFrog · 16/03/2021 11:04

I got my blue envelope today! Smile

I'm in Group 8, Fife. My appointment is on Sunday.

Of April?? That would be a lot better than what the calculator says! 🤞
Y0uCann0tBeSer10us · 16/03/2021 12:04

Aren't they supposed to have finished all the over 50s by mid April? We were kind of expecting our age group (40s) to be underway by then...

WouldBeGood · 16/03/2021 12:04

@ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown no, next week!!

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 16/03/2021 12:10

Ah, that's made my day, thank you Flowers
Last look at the omni was suggesting into the start of June for 50s. must not look obsessively at the calculator

dementedma · 16/03/2021 12:42

Blue envelope here in Fife too today. Am 57. Appointment on Sunday

PurpleFrog · 16/03/2021 13:13

@dementedma Hmmm.... I am 57 as well. Are we all getting done on Sunday!

dementedma · 16/03/2021 13:31

Must be! I've to go to Lochgelly

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 16/03/2021 13:32

Glad it's happening!

Any news on under 55s being invited anywhere in Scotland? Lots of my under 55 friends in England have been able to book online and have received vaccine this week.

LizzieMacQueen · 20/03/2021 13:38

I have mine next week. Lots of similar aged friends too. We are in the range 51 - 54

Forth Valley Health board district.

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 20/03/2021 13:41

Good to hear Lizzie! I am in Edinburgh, where things have been slow vaccine wise.

prettybird · 20/03/2021 14:26

I'm 59 (60 next month Shock) and my appointment is on Thursday at the Louisa Jordan. Haven't go my letter yet through - I rang up to find out, as I was getting twitchy (never got an invitation for the flu jab Hmm).

55 year old SIL gets hers on 4 April (she also rang up) although she's got to go to Paisley even though (like me) she lives in Glasgow.

61 year old dh got his last Saturday.

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 20/03/2021 14:34

Thanks prettybird. I am feeling twitchy about it, given the lack of letters people are reporting. Am tempted to phone the vaccine line next week and just make sure I am on the system.

prettybird · 20/03/2021 14:53

The vaccine line (and Option 2) is very efficient. And you get to talk to a real person - it's not automated Grin

Same!

I logged into the website that allows you to move the appointments just to see what it was like. The next availability at the centre nearest to me, after my slot on Tuesday was into the following week so I think they are filling up a week to ten days in advance. Got letter on Thursday for the following Tuesday.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 20/03/2021 16:26

No sign of letters here in Lothian.

I don't ask everyone but I don't know anyone under 60 who has been done unless they've had it through their work or being medically vulnerable.

Can Anyone in Lothian go any lower please to cheer me up?Grin
