Looks like railing is still needed.

Here is the judgment feee zone to do it.

It’s all so sleazy, whatever side of the unicorn border you’re on.

Whilst the pretence is that the briefings are non political and only discussing covid - we know that's gobshite. I'm glad she is being put under pressure on them about other stuff even if it's technically not the forum for it. It means the tv audience is getting to see some of it. I should imagine if this continues the daily doomcast will be cancelled or delivered by the demon dentist. he has such an engaging voice and manner so that'll be nice....Hmm

That tiers thread is the perfect example of the deep divisions in Scotland. The failure to listen to any negatives about the cult is both worrying and wearying.

So sick of this division politics.

Also I need my hair done, my eyebrows sorted and a fanny wax. Starting to resemble teen wolf here.

WouldBeGood · 24/02/2021 20:46

@Nipoleonthenoncommital I’ve taken in those tasks myself.. I can’t bear being ungroomed.

But I really really need a haircut

I bought one of those brow micro blades in desperation a few weeks back but not brave enough to use it, frightened to end up on stupid deaths.

WouldBeGood · 24/02/2021 20:54

I just tint mine but am going for something more permanent after this, just in case

I'm staying away from the Tiers thread for a while, it's got all serious and annoying.
On the hair front, I'm pleased to say that my lank hair problem has been resolved by the use of Fairy Liquid. I realised that it was residue from the hair colour that hadn't shifted and an old Mumsnet thread recommended washing up liquid - et voila. Sadly I've already forked out about thirty quid on various different shampoos.

StatisticallyChallenged · 24/02/2021 21:05

Literally just given big DD a haircut, need to do my own colour. And maybe a fringe. Might hide my forehead lines!

Sorry. That was probably my fault - I tried to be informative and then got annoyed with the ever changing goalposts.

I have a fringe for precisely this reason !

I'm avoiding the tiers thread too. What are the odds they'll take over this thread too instead of creating their own dear leader thread?

I need my eyebrows waxed and tinted, eyelashes too, and nails done. I also bought an eyebrow shaping thingie online but it doesn't seem to be working at all for me. My beautician has quit due to covid and is now doing another job Sad so not sure where I'll go to now or even when.

anon444877 · 24/02/2021 21:11

I used to love a fringe and then at some point it just seemed to highlight the eye crinkles. Hmm fairy liquid rookie? Where is this thread? MIL told me when she was a teen, girls used to use fabric conditioner for their hair of conditioner wasn't available!

Lidlfix · 24/02/2021 21:25

I would love a fringe to hide my Gordon Ramsay forehead but a baw face , not being any good at trying to keep a style and dislike of hairdressers who never believe how much my hair "jumps up" in cutting leaves me too scared.

WouldBeGood · 24/02/2021 21:32

I have a total baw heid, @Lidlfix I was wary but I like it. My hair is now very long for an old bird.

I thought I was being smart using lockdown to let my natural hair colour grow in for the first time in years. The greys are now appearing 😭 I'll be going for a full head of highlights the day my hairdresser reopens!

littlbrowndog · 24/02/2021 21:46

I last got my hair done in December

I know have hagrid hair which knots.

In the morning I firighten the kids

littlbrowndog · 24/02/2021 21:49

I hope our hairdressers and beauticians survive

Mine was saying still have to pay rent and part of furlough

😥 so sad for all the businesses with no clear way out

Lidlfix · 24/02/2021 21:51

Mine is long too I am clinging to the last few years that I will be able to have it this length. Though I get annoyed at myself at buying into a view of appearance that dictates what is "dignified" , I know I will likely conform.
Did you go to a fringe in stages Wouldbe? Or a dramatic change?

WaxOnFeckOff · 24/02/2021 21:52

I went natural grey years ago and I got a decent chuck cut off in September. It's completely straight so it's actually not looking too bad. I don't want it to get too much longer though as then it gets too witchy.

Otherwise I'm not much of a groomer so not missing much that way either.

Feeling bad for all you more groomed people though.

StatisticallyChallenged · 24/02/2021 21:57

I feel too young to be grey - I'm naturally very dark so every grey hair shines like a beacon. I wasn't even 30 before they started.

And I look crap with short hair so I'll be growing old disgracefully with hair down my back.

Nipoleonthenoncommital · 24/02/2021 22:01

I've had the same hairdo since I was 10, will keep it until I expire. Of boredom at this rate.

WaxOnFeckOff · 24/02/2021 22:02

I was mid 40s when I stopped going mid/dark brown and then got a set of blond highlights to cover the transition. I'd say it's blondy grey now in my mid 50s. I had it cut jaw length in September and now it's just past shoulder length, it grows really fast which isn't that great in current times.

MaxNormal · 24/02/2021 22:02

Lidlfix I'm genuinely not sure what age is best to err towards dignified. I dress like a toddler and suspect I'm starting to look a bit mad.

StatisticallyChallenged I'm so grey now. I actually wish it would go full on white but suspect it will be wiry grey instead for years. I henna it, looks like Highlands and works pretty well.

WouldBeGood · 24/02/2021 22:02

@Lidlfix quite a dramatic change! But it was all nicely blended in with layers round the chubby face. Going to have to tackle it or I get a bit emo looking.

I’m keeping my long hair I think, even though I’m far too old. But not going grey til it’s growing in proper white all over. Then a crop and bright toners in purple and stuff til I have it in a proper white bun

No it doesn't look like Highlands wtf phone? Grin
