Looks like railing is still needed.

Here is the judgment feee zone to do it.

Does the virus definitely not spread outside?

DeepfriedPizza · 07/03/2021 16:04

I don't grudge people celebrating but not in the way they are this weekend. Our local park had memorial benches destroyed and plants ripped up (rangers scarves tied to the railings) in celebration. Fireworks going off left right and centre. Thousands of folk gathering when we are trying to get kids back to school next week.

snowcoveredcampsies · 07/03/2021 16:09

I honestly don't know what's worse with Rangers, them winning or them losing. It'll be a long bloody night 😖

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 16:09

@snowcoveredcampsies very very rare. As in negligible

snowcoveredcampsies · 07/03/2021 16:13

@WouldBeGood a quick google suggests that's not the case. Looks like it could spread in groups standing about singing and chanting.

StarryEyeSurprise · 07/03/2021 16:16

It does spread outside if in close quarters with others ( like they clearly are).

We're not allowed to have children singing in a group outside , as normal. They need to be SD.

StarryEyeSurprise · 07/03/2021 16:18

Nice timing for the rest of primary going back. 🤢

I know. So bloody irresponsible.
StarryEyeSurprise · 07/03/2021 16:27

*Not having a go at pp who said they were having a party as I assume it's just your family and hope you have fun!

It's just the last time they won an old firm ( I think it was) I had three kids that couldn't keep their eyes open and literally slept until lunch time as there'd been all night parties!

I'm quite sure we'll have that times ten in parts of Glasgow tonight.

Apologies for spamming with three messages in a row!

frasersmummy · 07/03/2021 16:38

I see our beloved leader has tweeted that this may delay us coming out of lockdown

It was just the excuse she needed !!!! Angry

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 16:40

@frasersmummy well I’m certainly railing against that pish.

Ffs. Just free us, woman.

The rangers fans celebrating?
snowcoveredcampsies · 07/03/2021 16:48

They are taking the piss I'd say.

IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 07/03/2021 16:58

This was entirely predictable though. It's outside and people are having fun. Can't get too worked up about it tbh

snowcoveredcampsies · 07/03/2021 17:20

I suppose the worry is that it's highly unlikely to stay outdoors.

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 17:23

People have predicted doom and huge waves for loads of outdoor things: VE Day; BLM; the crowded beaches, etc and it has never materialised.

So I’m not railing on this one. But rail away

snowcoveredcampsies · 07/03/2021 17:24

@WouldBeGood fair point.

ladylunchalot · 07/03/2021 17:24

I sometimes feel I've entered a parallel universe when I come onto Scotsnet. Covid will spread rapidly outside when people are congregated closely outside without masks never mind add shouting and singing into the mix.

There is light at the end of the tunnel of getting out of this hell hole but only if basic rules and common sense are applied.

I am getting v pissed off with the football scenes as are many nhs colleagues, just feels like all the hard work and extra hours and shifts are in vain.

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 17:30

This is the thread to rail against the world if you’re not happy @ladylunchalot.

That's it exactly. There is no evidence that covid spreads outdoors.

Ok its probably not advisable to meet up in huge groups but really the party is definitely safer outside than it being crammed into folks houses.

ladylunchalot · 07/03/2021 17:40

@WouldBeGood thanks, just tired and fed up and not long finished my shift...... need food, I'm getting hangry Grin

I do get it. I was so furious too. As much as I hate to admit it though I don't think there were any spikes after BLM and so on.

Of course if all these idiots go off to house parties then that's a different story.

And yes this place is definitely a parallel universe.

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 17:50

@ladylunchalot I hope you feel better after something to eat. And some railing. 😃

Oh yeah just dh, me, the kids and the dog.

fandabbydoozy · 07/03/2021 18:16

Friend took her toddler to ibrox where he's waving a flag and in a group of tightly packed fans. Really surprised at her and I'm a rangers fan too.
