Looks like railing is still needed.

Here is the judgment feee zone to do it.

Love the first date stories congrats to all the anniversaries. I chatted DH up in one of Stirling's two nightclubs in late 1991 . Our DDs are quite shocked that I was 17 but had been a regular for over a year. He did ask for my number so I had to hover by the phone to make sure I answered not my parents or siblings. The next generation will never understand that horror Grin.

Groovee · 06/03/2021 20:36

@Lidlfix 🤣🤣

fandabbydoozy · 06/03/2021 21:08

oh gosh, I remember phone calls with your parents in the room cause there only was one phone. Couldn't do all the 'love you' and other naughty conversations!

WaxOnFeckOff · 06/03/2021 21:30

How times change. Our era, phone in living room or go to call box. Nowadays they can video call from their private phones.

WaxOnFeckOff · 06/03/2021 21:31

We didn't even have a phone in the house until I was 15!

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 06/03/2021 21:41

I'm just worried that a case within the rangers fans will increase the Glasgow numbers. I couldn't give a shit what they're celebrating but the numbers here are finally going down. Mind you, one of the pictures today featured a fan wearing a balaclava so maybe they are taking covid safety seriously.

Lockdownbear · 06/03/2021 22:20

Some of the fans will have been more careful than others. Apparently there's been no evidence of covid spreading outdoors.

The worry is more did they disperse home or are they partying on in houses?

shouldistop · 07/03/2021 07:05

I've seen pictures from ibrox and did notice people wearing masks. It was still a bit daft to meet in such huge numbers though, even outside.
We're rangers fans (dh a season ticket holder) so we'll be very pleased if we win the league today. Will be nice to have something to celebrate.

shouldistop · 07/03/2021 07:09

There were children at ibrox last night (as much as I disagree with their parents taking them) any kind of attempt to disperse a peaceful crowd by the police usually turns into trouble which the police know so they were doing their jobs which is ensuring public safety.

MaxNormal · 07/03/2021 07:24

Water cannans can cause serious injuries. I don't wish to live in the sort of place that uses then against peaceful groups.

Coquohvan · 07/03/2021 08:55

Thank goodness WM had more scene than a poster on here. They have banned the use of water cannons refusing to license them.

StarryEyeSurprise · 07/03/2021 09:11

I should probably note that I'm married to a Rangers fan. Being asked to watch several videos of the gathering may have had some impact on my comment yesterday!

Groovee · 07/03/2021 09:41

I still have a sore arm. But otherwise ok. Trying to get the kids moving so we can do Costco then visit dh

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 11:02

I’m hoping that the polls today might result in some lockdown easing on Tuesday.

@Groovee glad you’re ok and have a nice day.

Dinnafashyersel · 07/03/2021 11:27

Starting to think the polls might have the opposite impact. If SG sense they are losing the room the last thing they will want is us all standing on street corners discussing the issues of the day.

fandabbydoozy · 07/03/2021 11:28

I don't think the polls will change much if lockdown rules change. I doubt they will as they are more or less committed to the WHO levels aren't they?

Will be interesting to see what happens as a result of England all schools back though.

Dinnafashyersel · 07/03/2021 11:31

Agree. The contrast in approach with England is key. If DC all go back to school in England only to all end up self-isolating then more cautious SG approach vindicated. Doubly the case if most teachers are vaccinated by after Easter break and therefore more relaxed about need for measures.

shouldistop · 07/03/2021 11:38

@StarryEyeSurprise yes, DH has sent me several videos. Whilst I'll be happy if they win it does get annoying being sent videos of big crowds out enjoying themselves at the moment.

WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 15:02

I can’t begrudge people celebrating the success of their team

I don't either but not when it undoes any good work that has been done. Certainly the consensus from the vaccination clinic where I've just finished my shift was sheer disbelief and despair.
WouldBeGood · 07/03/2021 16:03

Ach, the virus doesn’t spread outside. This was eminently foreseeable.. they’ve won the league for the first time in years; there’s nothing else to do; and they’re excited. And people are sick and fed up of lockdown 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I’m railing against the railing against Rangers. 😃 Even though personally I can’t stand them!
