Good news Groovee, my friend said she was really tired afterwards but felt fine after a couple of hours.

I remember going to the Dr straight from work and getting a jab for travel to India (can't remember now which one), coming home and then waking up in the morning having sparked out on the livingroom floor all night and since about 6.30 previous evening - I lived alone at the time. Anyway, all good, had a lovely holiday etc. Then I went back for the booster of the same jab to give lifelong immunity I think and then did exactly the same!

Nipoleonthenoncommital · 04/03/2021 16:03

Glad you had your vaccination @Groovee, hopefully tonight will be a well earned rest and you'll be feeling better tomorrow.

mibbelucieachwell · 04/03/2021 16:56

I was thinking about you Groovee as I waited (not for long) to get my vaccine today too. If anyone has any issues with needles, honestly I barely felt it.

Interesting that people are seeing their neighbours at the vax centres. My neighbour who's 61, 8 years older than me was getting his at the same time. I had the Astra Zeneca.

NS had clearly had it in FM Q's. You can tell she's rattled even when she's not verging on being shouty when she pulls the 'The electorate will decide' card and the 'the people of Scotland' card. She might as well just say, 'Aye you're right in what you say. I don't have a defence, but we got voted in and you didn't ner ner ner ner ner'.

WouldBeGood · 04/03/2021 17:02

Glad you’re jagged @Groovee!

Groovee good to hear you've been jagged. Has MrG had his, although they might be concerned about giving it to him depending on what else is going on.

Me, I need a rant, I'm just feeling scunnered today. Counting down the days until son 1 is back in school.
House is like a tip, and I know in should be sorting it. This is the first time I've had the house to myself in who knows how long. I've got 30mins and just want to chill.

WouldBeGood · 04/03/2021 17:10

No housework in your alone time @Lockdownbear! Put on your favourite music really loudly and either dance round the house singing, or lie on the floor, depending on what it is!

Got Buck Cherry on in the kitchen. Wee party cooking dinner.

Perennial gripe time. BBCRadioScotland reporting 65% of "Covid hospitalisations" in December were hospital acquired!

Perennial gripe time. BBCRadioScotland reporting 65% of "Covid hospitalisations" in December were hospital acquired!

WTF!
How does that even work, 65% of the people were in hospital already and ended up being kept in because of covid?,

WouldBeGood · 04/03/2021 18:00

They got the virus in hospital.

I’m bring a smunt, but I’ve been saying that for ages!

Fits in with my observations locally.

shouldistop · 04/03/2021 18:05

Yep, nearly everybody I know that's had confirmed Covid caught it in some sort of healthcare setting. Hopefully there will now be a significant drop now that nhs staff are vaccinated at least.

A local restaurant to us is doing a3 course delivered dinner for £19 per head, cheaper for kids. Ordered for Dh but don't know if he'll be here. Otherwise I wanted an afternoon tea.
Groovee · 04/03/2021 18:29

@Lockdownbear no Mr G hasn't been called but I'm not sure he's well enough right now. He's happy I'm half way there now.

I've dozed and got a sore arm. The kids made enchiladas for dinner. Was so nice to have dinner cooked. I did the dishes. Just chilling now.

Ooh exciting
Groovee · 04/03/2021 18:31

Numerous friend's elderly parents have caught Covid from hospital. So I do feel apprehensive about him catching it.

Lockdownbear · 04/03/2021 18:35

I know of one elderly lady who was sent home from hospital earlier than she should have been because of covid fears.
So it fits with me too.
@Icannever the Easter holidays fill me with dread as well. I have a P2 so she's back but 2 weeks will be a nightmare. Also well-being Wednesday? We had it on a Friday. Did hee haw for my well-being that's for sure 😂
Wellbeing Wednesday made me chuckle Grin DSis is a teacher and all the staff were brought into school for a wellbeing day, no kids in the building. No joke, 7 of them got Covid that day.

shouldistop · 04/03/2021 20:18

Oh sorry @Groovee it's probably an insensitive topic of convo at the moment Thanks
