New thread, imaginatively titled.

Yes consistent with her earlier positing of 'Scotland' and 'abroad'. I've got loved ones in England, Wales and 'abroad'.

It's this kind of depressing game playing - she raised the spectre of people with relatives in England last time and nobody's mind has been put at rest.

WouldBeGood · 23/02/2021 18:34

But they haven’t actually said about s1-s3 and when they’re in, have they?

kurtrussellsbeard · 23/02/2021 18:37

@GrrrrrrArghhhhh or maybe just people who have a different opinion to you. Not necessarily SNP cheerleaders.

I really resent the way that mumsnet threads are policed by some posters to try and exclude certain people.

WouldBeGood · 23/02/2021 18:38

This thread is where we don’t tell people what opinion they should have, or how they should be feeling.

@ProvisionallyAnxious I am fully expecting this to be UK wide by the summer and I personally will not accept being kept within Scotland!

We, like many other families, have family uk wide. FIL and SIL in Wales. We both have Siblings in London. Also Overseas (but good knows when we'll see them!)

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 23/02/2021 18:41

Woodbegood they (S1/3) would be in on the 5th (which is Easter weekend, so they won't be in till after Easter basically). Easter holidays are not fixed, so some areas have them end March/start April, others fully in April. That would mean some areas will actually be back in before others, I suppose.

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 23/02/2021 18:42

I really want to go to NI in the summer but certainly won't book it now.

WouldBeGood · 23/02/2021 18:43

Really? Is that full time?

My motivation for anything is currently zero.
I hope the sunshine comes back for our daily walks 🙄

No... I want us all to be able to express opinions without vitriol on any sides... and to be able to "rail" on this thread in particular without being shot down for it...

GrrrrrrArghhhhh · 23/02/2021 18:44

Thank you

Very little detail - what I wrote down was she said 5th April for the final phase of school return. 15th March being rest of primary and "more seniors for at least part of their learning". More detail must be on its way (surely)
kurtrussellsbeard · 23/02/2021 18:48

I'm not telling anyone how they're feeling at all. Im not policing the hat people can say or think. I'm constantly reading however that my, and others, opinions aren't valid or welcome.

kurtrussellsbeard · 23/02/2021 18:49

Well I'm railling too. Somehow that's a problem though. Some railings are clearly more acceptable than others.

dotoallasyouwouldbedoneby · 23/02/2021 18:50

@frasersmummy

Do we think Ns has just lost a lot of support at the ballot box??
Hope so!
dotoallasyouwouldbedoneby · 23/02/2021 18:52

@MintPI

I really didn't think I could loathe a British politician more than Boris (too young to have been scared by thatcher)
I'm tickled that you called her British! She'd love that. I loathed Thatcher but the current Tories are much less extreme in so many ways.
GrrrrrrArghhhhh · 23/02/2021 18:58

You are very welcome to rail... I believe we all are and sometimes we all need to just vent our feeling under...but what I'm looking for is a thread that's supportive of its collaborators rather than combative and I've clearly made an error of judgement wrt to the tiers thread...I apologise if you felt my post here was combative, that was not my intent... I rarely post and am more of a lurker so perhaps misjudged the tone... I don't want to derail this thread or any other so will retreat to lurking and will simply quietly unfollow the other thread...

Apologies to other railers also..

Sootess · 23/02/2021 19:00

I think we're all just railing against the restrictions and how awful all our lives are at the moment. I honestly think most of us on this thread are not doing it politically.

It's just a shit situation and we're all just trying to get through it as best we can.

Anyone who's in the same boat welcome Smile

fluffyugg · 23/02/2021 19:07

@WouldBeGood that wasn't really clear. On the BBC Scotland news just a minute ago the reporter said there were still questions around whether secondary school return would be blended or not...

JustTalking · 23/02/2021 19:07

The only way is to imagine a mute option but I accept I lost the way this evening.

WouldBeGood · 23/02/2021 19:08

I would like to be able to tell my boy when he’s going back

OP posts:
JustTalking · 23/02/2021 19:08

Sorry that's a comment on mumsnet posting, nothing more.

Sootess · 23/02/2021 19:09

We're all railing about the shit lives our children have too.

Most of us have got kids out of school/nursery/university etc and struggling to cope. Maybe the new baby on the thread is the only one who hasn't got a shit life yet!

kurtrussellsbeard · 23/02/2021 19:10

Thank you both.

This thread is pretty political @Sootess it's just all very one sided so it maybe doesn't stand out. I mean many, many posts are about wee nippy etc etc. Not mature but whatever.

@GrrrrrrArghhhhh you are far from the first person to come over to this thread to moan about me or others like me who have a different opinion to yourself.

JustTalking · 23/02/2021 19:10

I want a place where I can complain or ask a genuine question without the interrogation beginning. Note to self: Obviously the answer is not to respond the would be interrogator!)
