I am using Lent as an opportunity to get myself back on the straight and narrow - was doing well with January in terms of yoga, mindfulness, cutting back a bit on drink, etc and then my dad died unexpectedly three months after my mum died and everything went a bit haywire...

Discussed with DH last night though this actual-holy approach (which had appeared on my FB feed) and advised him that there was no way in the current circumstances I could possibly take any of them on and giving up chocolates and sweeties would have to do.

Hi all. Too fed up to even rail recently but NS takes the custard cream today. Trumpeting drop in care home covid deaths (success of vaxx dontcha know) while ignoring the fact that excess deaths at home made up the entirety of excess deaths for the week.

Excess deaths are 146 rather than Covid deaths of 323. Kinda weird that Covid deaths are now 50:50 male:female especially given the implied fall in age range from "vaccine effect".

Can't even read the BBC summary now without exploding. It's just verbatim propaganda (applies equally to UK Govt briefings).

It's day 1, could be a long evening, the kids are fighting.

There's arseholes on twitter saying if you can't wear a mask, stay at home or get your shopping delivered or get a relative to do it.

yeah, that's exactly what I have been doing, for the past year, how much longer does it go on? I'd like my independence back thank you very much.

They are arseholes - my mum is exempt from a mask and she's had random imbeciles have a go at her over it in the supermarket twice so far and she's got a sunflower lanyard which she wears even though she shouldn't have to.

Is the sticker thing the same for disabled children? At the moment I put a sunflower lanyard on my autistic son when we go. I have to take him at least half the year, as husband works offshore (as much as with recent homeschooling I would have loved to have left him in the house lol)

jabba That is absolutely disgusting! Who TF in the Morrisons meeting where they discussed how to encourage everyone who can wear a face cover to do so, thought that was acceptable? for you having to put up with this shit all the time.

I’ll bet there is some folk foaming over this, and what a fantastic job Morrison’s are doing and why don’t the other supermarkets follow...
I actually had to refrain from commenting on a local paper’s fb article a few weeks back re Morrison’s not allowing anyone in without a mask. Some folk are just pig ignorant to the fact people have difficulties wearing them.

That's good Wax, I'm sure they will let him off, he can't miss lectures just now. The travel thing they will probably class as essential but missing course work isnt on.
