Done a search and these are the Tiers titles in Scotsnet that I think have been used - we had some that weren't named with tiers also:

Scotsnet
Fears For Tiers
Tiers Of A Clown
Tracks of my tiers
Tiers on my pillow
Drowning in a sea full of tiers
No More Tiers (Enough is Enough)
You'll have had yours tiers....
Don't tier the pants out of it.

@dancemom

How about a non tiers since we are in lockdown rather than tiers currently? Maybe even tempt a bit of fate to get us to move back to them ... who knew we would miss actual tiers??

How about living la Vida lockdown?

I like this :)

WouldBeGood · 25/01/2021 15:18

Bored to tiers

NotAnActualSheep · 25/01/2021 15:29

Yes, I think the (planned) review is a week tomorrow, so 2 weeks after that would be w/c 15th Feb, if they are letting any schools back then. I'd hope a relaxation of lockdown could definitely be done on a less than 2 week notice, though!

I agree with wax that they'll probably stick with all the mainland being one level, even though numbers in Highland are nearly back down to level 1 I think, and Stirling's 130ish is at the upper end of level 2. Even Edinburgh is in level 2 according to numbers per 100000, though the percentage positive tests would put us in level 3. I get the feeling they were just too worried about movement for the differential tiers to work...especially between the no hospitality vs hospitality boundaries between adjacent council areas. I'd assume we'd all go back to level 4 to begin with, but even that's looking good with its meeting outside of more than 2 adults, and queueing in greggs again...

I quite like "Still crazy after all these tiers" , as it opens up a whole new avenue for song title puns. I feel it is important, ethically, to maintain the tiers. First so we remember they exist and have something to look forward to Hmm, and also because we need to make clear that we're not having any of that "protection level" nonsense here in this thread....

Whoever posts about post 985 gets to choose and start the new thread. I suspect I'll be making tea/dinner about then :)

Nice one dancemom🙌

I'm no good at what means what tier but in Argyll and Bute we have had 52 cases in last 7 days. I think in our "best days" this was in the high 20s. Still not too out of control though. I think we are doing better than Highland per 100000. Infuriating to still be "level 4" but it is what it is. Hopefully they hurry up and go back to the tier system soon.

Lockdownbear · 25/01/2021 16:22

They'll be ultra wary given how quickly thing's spiked on Barra.
Places like Argyll and Bute if someone needs intensive care where do they go?

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 25/01/2021 16:23

how about "I get locked down, tiers go up again"?

Even within council areas there's so much disparity. I live in Fife which at times has had quite high incidence per 100k, but I live about an hours' drive away from any of the big centres of infection such as Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, etc.

There was a 'mass outbreak' in my town in October which consisted of 12 people, five of whom were my best friend, husband and three kids, all asymptomatic.

We're still subject to the rules that need to be geared towards the hotter infection spots though.

I don't actually mind, but I can see that someone of a different mindset could get really pissed off about it - in a sense to someone who resents lockdowns and tiers in general it must feel like being punished for nothing.

Add in if you already believe you've had it as well.

Travelling tabby has lots of new data to play with re the vaccinations on the Scottish version local data page. It's dated last Wednesday though and will only be weekly but a good idea to have a wee look about it so you know what's there for this coming Wednesday (if you like nosing at stats that is)

@Lockdownbear We are in Helensburgh and we go to Paisley mainly.

Cismyfatarse · 25/01/2021 16:54

Agree with "I get locked down. Tiers go up again." Shall I start it?

I do, that's quite a rabbit hole! I hadn't properly dug down into it before.

Lockdownbear · 25/01/2021 17:05
@Lockdownbear We are in Helensburgh and we go to Paisley mainly.
Paisley is probably already dealing with over spill from Glasgow. Which is what I was kind of thinking that if they relax Argyll & Bute which in turn causes a spike, that in turn could add the the pressure on the Glasgow hospitals.

I can certainly see a logic to keeping the mainland as one teir a bit longer.

hilbil21 · 25/01/2021 17:15

@Lockdownbear Yeah it's fair enough, and schools wise we have a lot of staff that come from areas with higher numbers. Still get pretty fed up mind you lol.

Lockdownbear · 25/01/2021 17:24

Hilbil21 I know its frustrating.
But the central belt is such a compact area they really should treat it as one.

When we had tiers hows this for bonkers.
Friend lives in South Lanarkshire, works in Glasgow, support bubble for her Dad in Paisley, but couldn't take her DD to Glasgow ski centre, she was driving past it constantly between work and her Dad Bonkers!

hilbil21 · 25/01/2021 18:03

@Lockdownbear there's a hell of a lot of madness in it all that's for sure!

RaspberryCoulis · 25/01/2021 18:04

The lad who is behind Travelling Tabby is apparently a Glasgow Uni student. Someone needs to snap him up and employ him, his site is WAY better than the official ones.

LetItGoGo · 25/01/2021 18:06

There are some very talented people about.

Groovee · 25/01/2021 20:14

DD's 21st today.

Lots of people arrived in their allocated time slot spent 5 minutes chatting them went home. It all feels a bit 💩.
