Thanks for the new thread. Can also answer sec English questions. (There are loads of us here, aren't there?)

Cismyfatarse · 02/01/2021 23:27

Thankfully. Loads of us standing ready to do all the marking!

Any idea how much money Swinney is paying us to do it all? It was part of the exam cancellation speech but no quantity yet.

Well hello, happy new thread! Just checking in, can't help with anything.... just here for the craic. I've been good and haven't gone near a certain other thread even though someone tagged me to tell me not to speak to them. 😂😂😂

RaraRachael · 02/01/2021 23:29

Checking in. Happy to help with any primary and ASN queries although this seems to vary depending on which council you're in

WaxOnFeckOff · 02/01/2021 23:30

£500? Then they could just send it to everyone and those not entitled could send it back. 😁

NearWildHeaven · 02/01/2021 23:31

This new title has already given me an ear worm. I foresee this happening every time I check in now.. 😂

Bikingbear · 02/01/2021 23:32

Hello! From me.

No idea. I think it was about 95p per candidate in the days when we had to assess talk. So I wouldn't get too excited.
Bikingbear · 02/01/2021 23:55

Thanks for the new thread.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 03/01/2021 00:04

Excellent title!

Bytheloch · 03/01/2021 00:09

Brew checking in too. Thanks for new thread. Nothing to add, just trying my best not to overthink everything that might be to come in the next few weeks. Count my blessings, eat chocolate, have a wet January and get out in the fresh air as much as possible. Get more sleep needs to be on there too😴

MissEliza · 03/01/2021 00:26

Thanks for creating this.

WouldBeGood · 03/01/2021 00:40

Checking in to new thread, thank you!

Bikingbear · 03/01/2021 01:00

Trying not to over think but playing sods law.
If I'm organized schools will be back on 18th, if I'm not you can guarantee, I'll be needing stuff at the last minute.
I've got our old laptop, wiped, windows reload, still to do the links for Google Classroom and Bitesize. DS needs new school trousers, I'll make sure they are going back before I order them. You get the picture...fingers crossed!

WouldBeGood · 03/01/2021 06:51

@Bikingbear very wise - I’d held off buying ds extra trousers til a few weeks ago 🙄

It’s not cheap as he’s adult size. Also bought him shiny new trainers specifically for the gym.

Bikingbear · 03/01/2021 07:04

WouldbeGood I'll hope by the time DS is adult sized trousers he'll have stopped bashing the knees out them Grin

WouldBeGood · 03/01/2021 07:22

@Bikingbear maybe..! 😂

anon444877 · 03/01/2021 07:50

Ah sleep...my favourite waste of time. Dc2 randomly had a bad night just as we're due to the 3x lucky rebooked Christmas lights today

rookiemere · 03/01/2021 08:40

I've avoided buying too many replacement rugby and football boots.
It's a double whammy as school thrift shop closed because of covid and not sure how much use he will get out of them before he grows again.

More snow here, DH has been wheeling and dealing in second hand running machines so I'm going to try the latest version shortly.

runningpink · 03/01/2021 08:41

I can offer help with ideas to keep your little kiddies occupied. Especially craft ideas and I have a list of snow activities as well with this current weather.
5 and under probably my better age but I can adapt some of the stuff for older kids.

runningpink · 03/01/2021 08:43

Does anyone know if a car service is classed as essential?
I need to have it for the warranty unfortunately on my car but the garage is in a different area. (Needs to be where I purchased the car)
So not sure if it will be allowed or if I can’t do if it will affect the warranty.
Think il have to call the garage

HGC2 · 03/01/2021 08:50

@runningpink
We’ve got the same issue, because DH needs his car for work I’m saying it’s an essential trip. Hope I’m right!

Lidlfix · 03/01/2021 09:01

Vehicle maintenance is essential, my lovely neighbour is a mechanic with his own garage and he keeps me right.

Better a winter safe car made so in a different district than the potential consequences of not having the work done.
