I was wondering given the mix of views on this thread and the fact everyone seems articulate and smart, what is you ladies take on the Govanhill situation? I don't know if anyone has seen the social media stuff? I will start my own thread if people don't feel it's something they want to talk about on here.

I am thinking that it carries some weight, I am someone who has a home, kids are well looked after so watching the videos make me feel uncomfortable but I watch them for that reason if that makes sense? Could this possibly be Nicola Sturgeons down fall or is that too much hope in tier 3.

We used to live in Queen's Park, there were certain parts of govanhill where I wouldn't walk down the street alone in day time let alone in the evening. There are large groups of travelling families living in dreadful circumstances and from quite a different cultures. I could see how Covid would spread with large groups of people congregating.

There are so many slum landlords capitalising on immigrants lack of choice and desire to be near family too.

This is all in Nicola's constituency, not far from her office.

There was a school last year, maybe the year before which in P1 had no kids that could speak English. There are massive social exclusion issues.
