Released from our dirty T4, but still bamboozled. Let’s keep each other sane on here...

I've been in Kelvingrove a couple of times with two toddlers since it reopened and it's been great. Loads of space, very relaxed staff, it's great. I would certainly recommend, if you can handle the mask.
It's a shame they've not opened the cafe as there'd be loads of space and it would help fund them.

@Groovee

We live near Edinburgh Zoo and went to their Christmas Night on Friday. It was hooching in the car park but well organised for spacing out and queuing for things. Felt very safe.

If my nursery have to isolate this week it won't include me. I'm on special leave. Organising a funeral in tier 3 is so bloody hard. I have to say the hospital were amazing at letting us visit and say goodbye. Even the 3am call they were offering us cups of tea etc. I cannot thank them enough x

So sorry for your loss

Devi is at again with DOOM

@randomsabreuse

Anyone reckon I could justify an "educational, pre-booked" visit to Blair Drummond next weekend, from Eastern edge of East Dunbartonshire. Booked a long time ago when they announced unprecedented winter opening...

Trying to break up DH's weekend on call for the kids!

Pretty certain I could avoid most of the motorway, probably all of it.

Kids need something fun to do.

I'd love to do this but I'm worried they might actually check addresses on the booking form?

So what's the thoughts about Humza declaring that we won't allow the Royal Navy to patrol scottish waters to stop illegal EU fishing?

So basically siding with the EU against our own fishing boats?

And, apart from the fact they basically don't have the power to order the Navy about, how exactly are they intending to do that? As far as I am aware we don't have a Scottish Navy or Army etc that we control (and unlikely to do so) to send out to stop the UK Navy doing what they want?

WouldBeGood · 13/12/2020 22:19

I’m just going to report the fish for hake crimes

titsbumfannythelot · 13/12/2020 22:23

Don't worry there'll be sturgeons controlling the seas too

WaxOnFeckOff · 13/12/2020 22:26

Maybe they just want all the Salmonds gone...

titsbumfannythelot · 13/12/2020 22:28

Maybe Peter will mullet it over.

Dinnafashyersel · 13/12/2020 22:54

Best not to refresh your memory on the SNP's defence policy post Indy.
Xmas Blush

Cannot imagine going to Kelvingrove and not being allowed to mix. It's our go to happy place normally. Really miss it.

WaxOnFeckOff · 13/12/2020 22:59

Independent Scotland won't need a defence policy as we'll all be pals together?

WouldBeGood · 13/12/2020 23:13

@WaxOnFeckOff yes, cos we are peace loving individuals who never fight

rogueantimatter · 13/12/2020 23:16

I've haddocked it up to here with protection levels. Making me crabby.

I'll get me coat.

Random I'm also on the eastern edge of East Dunbartonshire.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 13/12/2020 23:36

Groovee I’m so sorry, such hard times Flowers

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 13/12/2020 23:42

Thanks for the Kelvingrove endorsements - I’m really not great in a mask but it’s very very tempting. It’s one of our happy places too - as penniless students it was warm & dry & wonderful. Although the kids would dob us in to both sets of parents on FaceTime Xmas Hmm

Personally finding it hilarious that the SNP want to go up against the British Navy also sure the Scottish Fishing Industry is delighted by their stance...

Bikingbear · 13/12/2020 23:48

Groovee sorry to here that. Funerals in these times are horrible for everyone. Remember even although few will be able to attend in person, you'll have many tuned in and who are with you in spirit even if they can't be in body. Flowers
