What's the rules for Christmas there do you know? I agree - indoor meeting is more important than restaurants, bars etc. However, my point was the differing attitudes towards acceptable deaths.
Even regarding the FM's stricter approach, I think the SG should've taken more drastic action earlier. That being said, I don't think businesses can access full furlough any time a devolved nation goes into full lockdown. I could be wrong of course!

littlbrowndog · 16/12/2020 22:17

I think everyone I know is just weary and not even looking at FM latest news

We are having Christmas and it will be joyful

Mrsjayy · 16/12/2020 22:22

Yeah I'm not even listening to any Scottish news im just going to ignore it for a bit weary is just how I am too.

Mrsjayy · 16/12/2020 22:24

Germany is in lockdown from tomorrow and they can have their usual 5 people 2 households and 4 family members over Christmas.

littlbrowndog · 16/12/2020 22:24

We have had lockdown for months. We wear masks. We social distance

We don’t see friends or family indoors

We don’t go to,gym or libraries

We don’t go to fife or Glasgow or wherever

We don’t go out to eat after 6 pm or have a drink with a meal

We have no toddler groups or going to church

We don’t touch people or go close to our grandparents

We don’t we don’t we don’t we don’t

So fucking weary with this.

For what.

Outsidemum1 · 16/12/2020 22:32

I'm weary too. A lot of the rules don't make sense. I can't SI before Christmas so won't be able to see family thus aiming for Easter 2021 as I think Jan/ Feb will be bad again It's s*it, it really is.

Bikingbear · 16/12/2020 23:05

Weary, scunnered, fedup.

Germany's lockdown sounds like freedom to me. I believe people will analyse data from this for years. As this is effectively a big social experiment on human behaviour when isolated from loved ones.

They can access furlough now - it's been extended. There was a period at the end of October/beginning November when Sunak said it was ending which was part of the reason for our "16 day" lockdown being timed as it was, and part of the reason we didn't go tier 4 earlier. Then when the English lockdown 2.0 was announced then the proper furlough scheme - actually, the more flexible version of it - was extended provisionally until March I think.

Business doesn't need to be closed to access it either

Weary too. Feel like if I have a good rant each day, then feel a tiny bit better.

This thread is nearly maxed out. Anyone want to start a new one?
