It's to be paid this financial year apparently. Also presume it will be taxed. Unless something catastrophic happens before it's paid, DH says he's donating his, if and when he gets it.

🤣 we all have one of those bottles, also a crusty-capped Baileys at the back there too. This is why we are T4-ers.

(Now I’m remembering how much I like a festive snowball drink and it’s been years since I had one, maybe this year is the year?)

Rae36 · 30/11/2020 23:31

Does anyone else think these threads start the day kinda serious and everybody is a bit fed up, then by this point in the day we're all borderline hysterical? Can you imagine the state of us all when this is finally over?

WaxOnFeckOff · 30/11/2020 23:32

Baileys never gets left in this house. Boys first had one when we were abroad and now they have a very inflated view of what a measure is. I got a litre on a deal so I've stashed it along with a bottle of chambord.

yeah, we wind each other up over the course of the day and let loose by bedtime.

Yes, @Rae36 I was all angry earlier, just awake now when I should be sleeping. Hysteria is needed or we’d cry, I think.

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/11/2020 23:33

@WaxOnFeckOff

Nicola Sturgeon is scared of my cats

Is she scared of all cats or just yours specifically?

Dunno, but she has met mine - long story - and one of them jumped down from behind a curtain as she was being filmed and gave her a right scare. Her assistant whispered "that's going in the Christmas bloopers reel" as her reaction was hilarious. That was my big cream boy, 28lb of snuggly lump!
WouldBeGood · 30/11/2020 23:36

Thanks for the advice - I feel much more confident about having a Safe Christmas now

WouldBeGood · 30/11/2020 23:36

Yes, @Rae36😃

WaxOnFeckOff · 30/11/2020 23:37

I'm also thinking a snowball on Christmas Eve sounds the business.

Did anyone else have them as a fairly small child? I can actually remember getting drunk and having that fuzzy feeling and i'd be be about 8 or 9? Oops! One New Year we had open house and my friend ended up staying over, when we woke up there were people all over the place sleeping/passed out and so we made ourselves a drink for breakfast, I had a snowball and she had a shandy. That would be lateish primary school as we weren't friends in high school. :o

I actually don't drink much but I just like to know I can if I want.

That's a story that needs telling at some point @StatisticallyChallenged. I'm heading to bed now. Sounds like DH not snoring so I have a window of opportunity to get to sleep.

Just spotted this- I hope there’s many more as kind as your husband, wax, if they’re in a position to donate it could really help others who are seriously in need this year (and every other before that).
Bytheloch · 30/11/2020 23:43

Let’s send in the cats! @StatisticallyChallenged (although somewhat missing the scary element, they look lovely!)

WouldBeGood · 30/11/2020 23:45

Send in the cats... title of next thread.. to the tune of send in the clowns

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/11/2020 23:47

Oh they're not even remotely scary. They're the biggest soppiest lumps possible. They've cured kids of cat phobias there so gentle, I have numerous photos of my kids using them as pillows. There's a 4th one too. But wee nippy was not a fan

Funny thing was the reporters were much more interested in the cats Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/11/2020 23:51

The full quartet.

Awww he's cute, he can first foot for sure. Needs some booties though if we can't antibac him...
WaxOnFeckOff · 01/12/2020 00:06

She is not very tolerant so I think it will be no on anti baccing or bootees, maybe from inside a box?

Fluffy Noooooo! If you are drunk sober up right now - if sober I’m not sure you can be helped Grin

Love the cat pics (far preferable to Jason 😱)
