In despair. Absolutely in despair. Do we have to go through this again? And with such a long lead up to the referendum? Really? What happened to the settled will of the Scottish people?

@statisticallychallenged Will you help me get through this again? (Was Roseformeplease then).

I was No last time and will be again (unless they change the question). I felt physically sick while listening to NS this morning, but I'll be more involved this time. Last time I kept my head down because I didn't want to be a target for abuse, and I didn't really believe that many people would fall for the pile of mince that was the 'white paper', but it was much closer last time than it really should have been given the standard of the arguments, and I'm not going to give up my country without a fight. So I'll be pointing out all of the inaccuracies and logical inconsistencies, and making the positive case for the Union whenever the subject comes up (without being too in your face about it :-)). I hope others do the same. That way we can break down this fallacy that Independence is somehow inevitable, or the 'positive choice', and get people really thinking about what it means.

cheeseandcrackers77 · 13/03/2017 21:19

No then no now.

cheeseandcrackers77 · 13/03/2017 21:22

SNP obessed work colleague was hell today. I thought she was going to wet herself with excitement. Work should not be the place to lecture on politics in full voice in the office. Management is week and don't want to get involved. Many are no voters but don't challenge her as we believe the work place is not the place, that may change this time.

jaggythistle · 13/03/2017 21:23

waves

Yeah I've seen some early Facebook glee as well.

I guess I don't see how they think the economic situation is any better now that we'd suddenly be fine / amazingly better off?

Opportunistic shite.

BonnyScotland · 13/03/2017 21:23

I'm a NO folks x

HamletsSister · 13/03/2017 21:36

Tempted to make our new slogan, "No means No." Or "No means No, Asshole".

I was a No last time but never publicised it today I'm still no and I did mention it only for various family members to immediately bombard me with yes nonsense . Really can't be doing with two years of this at all .

TinfoilHattie · 13/03/2017 21:45

My idea for a slogan: "What part of NO don't you understand?"

NoLotteryWinYet · 13/03/2017 21:45

that idiot writer they had on c4 going on about be creativity in Scotland's economy made be want to throw things - how many more writers can we breed to make a viable economy? No, and I think we'll have to find the energy in 2 years time...

TinfoilHattie · 13/03/2017 21:45

Or the MN favourite, "NO is a complete sentence".

AssembleTheMinions · 13/03/2017 21:48

I was an no and am still a no. I'm also furious about being dragged back into this bloody circus again. Already Facebook is filling up with smug yessers squealing in delight. I did boot the worst ones off at the last referendum, You remember that one? The once in a generation one? Or in the SNP's case, the keep going until we get the answer we want one.

EmmaC78 · 13/03/2017 21:52

I was a No before and remain a No. I feel drained at the thought of the road ahead.

dementedma · 13/03/2017 21:54

I'm a NO.
Appalled that we have to go through this again. As an English person living and working in Scotland I am braced to be told to "fuck off back to where you came from" all over again.

AyeAmarok · 13/03/2017 22:03

I'm still here too and still a NO. And so fed up.

StatisticallyChallenged was awesome on the Indyref threads. So patient when explaining things.

GirlElephant · 13/03/2017 22:12

Still here & still a no.

No desire to go through this all again SadSad

QueenLaBeefah · 13/03/2017 22:16

I was a no then and a no now. And I'm bloody livid that my remisin vote had been hijacked on this way.

I kept my head down last time but I'm just going to say what I think this time.

AyeAmarok · 13/03/2017 22:22

On the plus side, if No wins again (please God) then I honestly believe that will be the end of Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP.

gruffalosarse · 13/03/2017 22:25

No in 2014 and will be No again. Gutted to have to go through this again, it feels as it we have had no respite from this aggressive style politics which polarises families and communities. Fed up, been looking at right move tonight and considering options.

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing · 13/03/2017 22:29

Has anyone else posted about the parliamentary petition? petition.parliament.uk/petitions/180642

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing · 13/03/2017 22:30

Basically petition highlightihighlighting to Westminster we don't want another indyref don't know if it will do anything though?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 13/03/2017 22:31

No and NO. I'm so angry and depressed I can't find words. Some of my husband's family are SNP supporters - they will be cock a hoop about this. I don't want to see any of them again.

It was so awful last time but this is worse.

And then there is that useless tosser Corbyn who will no doubt refuse to join a Better Together campaign. I don't think I could actually be civil and polite to anyone who tells me they will vote Yes.

gruffalosarse · 13/03/2017 22:38

I feel the same lass, I have distanced myself from so many vocal YES supporters. I have lost a good friend as a result but I cannot tolerate her patronising suggestions that I should 'read more widely' on the subject. Any debate about the fundamentals are quickly shut down as they do not have the answers...drives me wild.

TinfoilHattie · 13/03/2017 22:54

I cannot tolerate her patronising suggestions that I should 'read more widely' on the subject

Yessers have refined the art of being patronising and wholly offensive all at the same time. It's quite a skill.

Even though I was born in Scotland, raised in Scotland, live in Scotland, according to them I'm not a proper Scot because I'm a strong NO. Even worse, DH is English.

DH works for a UK wide organisation - we face the very real prospect of having to uproot the kids and move to Hampshire if this goes through. Not terribly keen on that, tbh.

It will be like Boris and his "£350 million a week for the NHS" promise, Sturgeon and her minions will make up figures and hoodwink the gullible, just as she did the last time. It's all bollocks and anyone with half a brain can see through it - but they brush that all under the carpet and appeal to the Braveheart mentality. Makes me sick.

It's the local elections soon folks - you know what you have to do. Vote Conservative, vote Labour, vote Lib Dem, vote bloody Monster Raving Loony for all I care but just don't vote for the sodding SNP.

harverina · 13/03/2017 23:00

I was an absolutely 100% certain no.

I am now not so sure. I don't want to leave the EU.

I feel British. But I also feel European. Being a part of the EU is important to and and part of my identity as a European.

I feel pretty mixed up about it all now!

Sunbeam18 · 13/03/2017 23:04

No here. So draining to have to go through a third bloody referendum in 4 years. Even if Scotland was allowed to join the EU (and who knows what state the EU will be in at the end of this year after the German, French and Dutch elections) they would be the next Greece! Insanity!
