Getting increasingly annoyed by Scots who pronounce "ch" as "ck"

Yes, I know...in the grand scheme of things it's trivial.

But, it's intensely irritating to hear Scottish born and bred people talk about Auckterarder or Lock Lomond.

Just stop it! You're Scottish and you can say the "ch" sound!

In Fife cowp means either a mess such as "my teens bedroom is a cowp", the local tip as in "I'm going to the cowp with this rubbish" or to spill as in "watch what your doing you'll cowp my tea all over the shop"

And there's another - "all over the shop" used to mean everywhere!

Am not Scottish, but am planning to move up there in a few years. Don't want to disrupt DDs GCSEs, so it's a long term plan at the moment.

We stayed in a place near Tarbert, called Achaglachgach. How would you pronounce that?
