Bum Sex & Wind

Sorry to lower the tone, but it is Friday and I've waited a while to find some advice/empathy for the following the problem. It sounds hysterical, indeed if I were to read about this on mn I would be rofl. However, it is a genuine problem and I'm wondering if it's a common occurrence.

Dh and I have recently began engaging in erm...rear entry bedroom antics. The issue is, immediately afterwards I suffer dreadful wind and if I pop to the loo I will almost blow the toilet off the wall and also well, pebble dash the pan. I also continue to be a bit windy the following day and worst of all I have no control over it

We only ever engage in such activities if I been to the loo within a couple of hours previous. The post shag messiness is really off putting and I often wonder how gay men put up with it! Is there something I can do? I'm not really keen on enemas or wash outs or whatever as it's always a spontaneous thing.

Then bumsex would be a bad idea! I didn't do it for a year after DS was born because I wasn't healed properly. If you have piles maybe you should go to the doctor?

Alouiseg · 04/07/2010 13:13

This has given me so many ideas, both dc are away at camp for 4 nights this week. Poor old dh won't know what's hit him ;-). I may be back to ask more stupid questions at some point so please don't let this thread be pulled

expatinscotland · 04/07/2010 13:15

[hands Alouise a tube of lube and sings, 'Doin' the butt . . .']

The idea of eating oysters make me boak.
there are a great number of people who tell mne i am missing out on something almost orgasmic. no matter what they tell me i just wont try them. they are vile.

it is the same as Anal sex. If you are game enough to try it then there is a good chance you will either enjoy it or at least think it was nowhere near as bad as you expected.

but for some it will always be something they could never contemplate. thats fine.
just don't go around making cats bum faces to those who do.

as for the OP, im afraid the windy bit is quite common but can be eased if your partner takes it a little slower. the pebble dash thing is a new one on me. most people have difficulty the following day.

yes it would be advisable to use condoms, purely for the sake of added lubrication but also it can help with "leakage" which may be a contributary factor in teh pebble dash.

seenyertoeslately · 04/07/2010 13:40

Can you only do it when there's an 'r' in the month, then?

Eurostar · 04/07/2010 13:49

Pain - going to depend a lot on the size and shape of your P's penis. The smaller the member, the less it is likely to cause pain...

my slogan would be..."do not let anyone cum in your bum"...it's just not worth risking anal cancer for, we still know so little about hpv transmission (medics seem undecided if it is transmitted from sperm or skin to skin contact) but something like 80% of anal cancer cases have detected hpv-16 in biopsies.

As for piles.. Good measured advice here..
www.hemorrhoidshemroids.com/anal-sex-and-hemroids-hemorrhoids.html

here is an extract...

The system of tissue, muscle, bone and tendon that allow the intestinal system to finish its job are quite complex. The anorectal canal is supported within the body by both muscles and tendons. Blood filled cushions line the bottom end of this canal, allowing the body to move, stretch and bend without damage to the canal itself. These cushions also help with anal sphincter control and signal the body when a bowel movement is necessary.

Anal sphincter muscles are not very strong. They are also easily damaged. The hemorrhoidal blood cushions help protect these muscles and those of the pelvic floor from tearing. These cushions are filled with balloon-like veins. When necessary, the veins swell to make the cushions bigger and capable of absorbing more shock. After the need has passed, the veins usually go back down to normal.

Internal hemorrhoids originate from these cushions when the veins swell so large they can't go back down.

Chronic abdominal strain and chronic anal irritation are the two root causes behind most hemorrhoids, and anal sex gives an ample amount of both.

First, whenever the body senses something within the anorectal canal, it tries to push that object out. It's a reflex and it allows normal feces elimination to work. Much of that "pushing" comes from the abdominal muscles, which forces blood down into the hemorrhoidal cushions.

Second, the normal function of the anal sphincter is to allow a bowel movement, not to be rubbed against for a long period of time. If you rub your hand rapidly back and forth across a rough surface, the tissue will swell due to irritation. Anal sex irritates the anal sphincter and anorectal canal in the exact same way.

Anal sex hemorrhoids and anorectal damage usually happen due to badly performed anal sex. There are no studies that indicate any anal damage at all when the practice is done correctly, but most people who do it don't take the time to learn enough about safety.

blimey alouise!

I understand that the rules are, lube lube and more lube, and then some more lube. And start with a finger then 2 and so on rather than going straight for it!

Blimey.

If SGB were here she would also issue her warning about only ever using sex toys designed for anal play if you're indulging in up the bum action.

That's what I've gleaned from these threads anyway!

Gigantaur · 04/07/2010 13:57

yes, only ever use something that is designed for anal play. your anus is a giant muscle and if it conracts it can sort of suck things up. that is why all anal toys have a wider base.

niftyfifty · 04/07/2010 13:57

Years ago a gay friend of mine told me that some gay men use tampons becqause of anal leakage ...... unless of course he was winding me up

Alouiseg · 04/07/2010 13:59

What a mine of information you all are. I love oysters so let's test that analogy. Won't be any news till Tuesday morning as the dc's go away on Monday morning.

But please, keep the advice and info coming.........

Coolfonz · 04/07/2010 14:35

Yes Im a man.

Never had scooby doo on my dick as a result of back-door luvvin'. I'm 46.

A bit of common sense here, like general cleanliness, the lady in question not gagging for a poo, plenty of vaseline or your lube de choix etc. A few glasses of wine/drags on a spliff/1kilo M-Cat might help as well.

For the man (well, me) it's horny if the woman likes it/wants it, not horny AT ALL (for me anyway) if it hurts her. It's a right tightrope this bum-luv.

The pussy is also a better fuck. Imo.

This thread has put me right off bum-luvvin' action.

Gigantaur · 04/07/2010 15:20

loads of advice HERE

it wasn't why i changed name i promise

PlasticCenturion · 04/07/2010 15:36

Disgusting.

Who in their right mind would voluntarily, (actually not just voluntarily but voluntarily and then brag about it on a parenting forum) eat oysters.

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Ok, I have a question.

Why all this emphasis on using a condom for bum sex? If you're not using them for vaginal sex, I mean. It shouldn't be any easier to transmit STDs anally compared to vaginally. What I'm saying is, if you allow a man to ejaculate in your vagina, why wouldn't you allow him to ejaculate in your bum?

Malificence · 04/07/2010 16:36

Rectal tissue is very delicate and bleeds easily - actually non-spermicidal condoms are meant to be a lot less irritating to the membranes too, so I imagine the special strong condoms for man-love are non-spermicidal ones.

It's frightening that anal cancer is so heavily linked with hpv infection, even more so than cervical cancer. Even if I did fancy anal sex, I certainly wouldn't want him ejaculating up there and that's with the knowledge that he has never had another sexual partner so is unexposed to the HPV virus ( sexually anyway - the incidence of infection is so prevalent that they do think it might be transmitted in non-sexual ways).
