Play lube. What's the deal

so.... in an effort to really seem like I'm making an effort and to reward the many man hours that dp has spent at the coal face, so to speak, have decided that would actually like to perform oral on him - totally unasked for I might add. But, durng a drunken conversation I said "But you don't ever seem to want me to!" To which the answer was, "Off course I do, but if you don't want too..." Yada yada.
Well I doooo! So bought some Durex play lube (cherry) from Lovehoney. The question is how to introduce this interloper? If I do the biz can you put a condom over it (pre-climax)

Why do you need lube for oral? Is it to make it taste nicer for you?

thelunar66 · 13/02/2010 00:25

eek at sucking on cherry lube

MabelStark · 13/02/2010 00:28

Nothing wrong with cock - just thought that would encourage a beginner... I don't know... Not that brilliant i this department I know that enthusiasm counts but thought might help things along???

Well you can use it if you like, but I don't think it adds much to the experience. A few pages back there is a thread started by an OP asking for advice on how to do BJs - I responded rather enthusiastically and in detail, and everyone laughed at me

MabelStark · 13/02/2010 00:34

Am in my 30's and have never given oral (or had it brought up by a partner) But, after reading the reviews of the product on the website I thought that it might give me a focus?? Only went on to buy condoms, but got lured in...

thelunar - How is that helping, so sorry to not conform to your perfect sex life standard
God forbid I should use this site for advice. fffs

this was the BJ thread. It descended into silliness (the good kind) but some good advice on there...

ItsGraceAgain · 13/02/2010 00:57

No. What you want is spit. You'd be better off keeping a glass of water handy than putting lube in your mouth. Or, if you want it to taste nice, a glass of smoothie. Not straight out of the fridge, though! (Although that does make for a nice trick, alternated with a hot drink - save it for next time, or he'll think you've been going to classes!)

Have fun

ItsGraceAgain · 13/02/2010 00:59

Sorry, should have said - it is safe to put the stuff in your mouth, it just has a weird chemical taste. And, yes, it's designed to go with condoms.

Malificence · 13/02/2010 13:11

Don't use flavoured lube for oral - it's vile - I took pina colada flavour on holiday and nearly threw up it's sooo sickly!
Lots of saliva is best but, for a novice, durex tingle lube or feel lube actually tastes nice/quite minty and it aids masturbation, you need to use hands as well as mouth for optimum pleasure.

You can't use too much saliva though and the sight of you drooling/dribbling all over him will be a big turn on.

foxinsocks · 13/02/2010 13:20

your mouth is wet anyway innit so you won't need lube

my only ever piece of advice on sex (especially for those with sensitive skin or sensitive bits) is not to ever, never ever, never ever ever, think that spicing up your sex life by buying tingle lube is a good idea

it was like out of those cartoons - if you can imagine me sprinting out the room with fire coming out of my fanny and having to jump into a big cold pond. Like that.

YoureGorgeous · 13/02/2010 13:21

is it cos you is all dry and stuff?
cant see the need?
do theblokes not get all affronted?

Malificence · 13/02/2010 14:06

You'regorgeous - assuming that you're not actually Ali-G in disguise, I will answer your rather inane question honestly.

Lube turns good sex into fabulous sex, nothing to do with being too "dry".

It's the best sex-aid, ever, if a bloke would be affronted by fabulous sex, he's a pillock .

Foxinsocks, we love tingle lube, it's the heat one I don't like.

PorphyrophillicPixie · 14/02/2010 12:18

I love the flavoured lubes and condoms for bjs! Even the heat and tingles taste nice. But NEVER let it go near your fanjo. They BURN. I've ended up half pissing myself laughing and half in tears each time I've used those!

Actually, does anybody know of a good lube company that isn't play? I get dry easily but can use the play lubes as they just hate me, even the plain ones!

differentnameforthis · 14/02/2010 12:24

PorphyrophillicPixie, just walk into Boots/Superdrug/Tesco etc...all sell lube. KY is supposed to be good. I have used Superdrug's own & found it worked.

AnnieBeansMum · 14/02/2010 12:29

Lube is a wonderful thing. And like Malificence said, it can turn good sex into amazing sex!! No need for it for a bj though - good old saliva will provide all the lube you need.

Have fun!! Much to my DH's delight, I adore giving BJs.

PorphyrophillicPixie · 14/02/2010 12:36

I'm scared to try out others knowing what effect play has on me! KY is just plain-nothing-to-it isn't it? If so I'll try some of that

Anniebeansmum: But the lube is tasty and adds something you the giver [girn]

AnnieBeansMum · 14/02/2010 13:01

It might just be me, but I don't find lube tasty in the slightest. Although, DH has always said a tic tac in my mouth is rather nice.

littlemiss72 · 14/02/2010 13:27

My tip for the day is.. a little swish of mouth wash just before the bj, tingly feeling all the way down so I'm told.

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 14/02/2010 13:33

Or toothpaste- not to much though otherwise it gets a bit gunky and never, ever use Euthymol.

AnyFucker · 14/02/2010 13:34

pixie...this is fab !!

dunno about for BJ's though, have never felt the need then

mosschops30 · 14/02/2010 13:51

Condoms for the end of bj's????

Im sure my dh would be less than happy if i whipped a condom on before he came!
Why on earth would you do that? There are better options

PorphyrophillicPixie · 14/02/2010 14:47

AF: Thanking you! :D Won't tell OH it has aloe vera in it though, he's kind of iffy about that since I put aloe vera antibac hand gel on his chest after a wax...

Cyb · 14/02/2010 14:54

yes never heard of putting a condom on 'at the end'

AnyFucker · 14/02/2010 15:07

pixie...that site is very good for all manner of things, too
