Date tried to put a hood on me during sex

I've been trying to date and honestly not had the best time so far.

I don't get a lot of free time because I'm a solo parent to my son.
So I went on a date recently. It was a low pressure walk (my suggestion). It went really well and we hit it off a lot better than expected. The only thing was that he made reference to being interested in the D/s dynamic. Can't remember how the conversation came up. I didn't make much of it because that is something I can enjoy, but didn't want to discuss at that point.

So second date we were at his house. He kisses me and things get heated. We're about to have sex and he gets about a hood to put over my head. Apparently one of his fantasies. I said no.

This doesn't sound like a man who's looking for a relationship, right?

Do you feel safe around your husband knowing he has that kink? Genuine question, not meaning any disrespect, just curious.

Yes I feel safe. Its all about communication and boundaries. Which is the very problem for the situation that the OP described.
I don't want to derail her thread.

notacooldad · 30/09/2026 15:54

I've had a lot of casual/risky sex over the years. Not much shocks me anymore, so it's good to hear what others think.
Are you surprised that people are shocked
I've just read my post back and it sounds judgey, I was genuinely asking now you had time to reflect was it a surprise that many didn't find it a normal thing and are seriously shocked with what he was did.

Online porn (of all kinds) available for free all hours of the day, has made things much worse.

As well as the internet enabling the sad fckers to get together online.

Yup, technology has made things really awful, then fling in the likes of Andrew Tate and just the generally vile way women ar treated online with rape threats ect and its not surprising that men like this specimen are behaving in this sickening manner.

Yupstillhere · 30/09/2026 15:56

I don't understand what his family or occupation have to do with this. Women have been raped and suffered domestic violence from men of all professions, policemen for example.

I don't understand why you think the hood means he's not looking for a relationship. Sounds like you showed some interest in his kink. I assume he took your interest as a possible green light and thought he'd try it. He stopped when you protested.

He needs to have more conversation before he tries out his fetishes and you need to listen out if men mention kinks before you have sex.

I mean, as everybody else does on this godforsaken website, I was simply expressing my viewpoint. Sorry I didn't coat it in sugar and serve it with a bunch of flowers!

Come on, if your user name is ‘stop being nasty’ and someone perceives your comment to be unkind, you know it’s low hanging fruit. Go for a random user name maybe 😂

I'm old too and had sex on the first date with two of the men who became long term partners as did many of my friends, lots of us (tho not me and that was only because of how my life worked out) had one night stands, even had a couple of friends who had a few wild years when this was what they prefered. But there seemed to the best of my knowledge to be none of this choking stuff, none of the straight in there with requests/demands for more unusual things. It sounds so risky and troubling out there for women these days, glad those days are over for me. Men seem worse than I remember them being or is it that society has changed to the extent that some of them feel they can say and try anything?

gen X'er here too 😀 We too did one night stands and slept on the first day with a guy who would end up being a long term boyfriend, the dfference is that this was pre- internet, we where from the same town or same circle of friends and people knew each other. That "johnny" guy had a reputation for being a douche so all the girls would avoid him, the one night stand was with our cousins best buddy so going to his place while the parents were out felt safe. Everybody knew Eddy the milkman was married so him trying to pass as single in order to get laid would have the ladies laughing at him and gossip would reach his wife. Problem now is you're dealing with total strangers on the dating apps and that's what makes it dangerous. Men are not accountable any more for their bad behaviour because they're hiding behind a screen or an avatar.

Dominant / Submissive

I think like a bdsm thing

Justonia · 30/09/2026 16:18

The world was a better place when kink was just for kinky people. It was never something people were supposed to dabble in. Or escalate into because they were bored with standard porn. Or tolerate because that’s just what’s expected nowadays.

I’m a sub, and sex in short timeframe was never on the cards because there was too much negotiation to get through. There shouldn’t be any assumptions, or surprises. It’s talked through, contingency plans agreed, then trust established long before anything risky happened.

I want to say leave this stuff alone, but I think the genie is well and truly out of that bottle now. So if you’re open to a bit of kink, please, please, please educate yourself on what’s supposed to happen before hand and cultivate super high standards for who you’re willing to sleep with.

That’s the crux of the issue though - because women who aren’t intrinsically kinky, and have high standards, filter out these porn addled would-be doms. The very fact you’re open to considering some of these practices should be a warning sign to go on an all women’s retreat at a convent for a year.

It’s not cool to be open minded, it’s risky.

Sorry, op, I’m ranting a bit, and it’s not fair. I just really hate how acceptable practices are now that we’re once considered extreme in bdsm communities. I hate seeing women, who have been “introduced to kink” by boyfriends coming into kink forums looking for advice on how to achieve subspace because now it’s a goal to endure enough pain to dissociate from the trauma. It’s terrifying.

Hiredgun · 30/09/2026 16:18

Utterly deranged and terrifying behaviour. What sort of person does this after meeting fairly recently and without prior discussion and consent.

WHY ARE YOU AT A MANS HOUSE ON A 2ND DATE?!

Good grief you are a mum! Get some boundaries! This is so dangerous anything could have happened to you

You did nothing wrong. He is the one who did wrong. Don't let people here shame you into believing that you are at fault for what happened.

This, you did nothing wrong, this man overstepped and was quite frankly an absolute creep,

Of course you can start to be a bit wary but you did nothing wrong.

Gengha · 30/09/2026 16:28

wtaf is it with these revolting men

OchreReader · 30/09/2026 16:31

God, I cannot stand men like this! All sweetness and light while inside they’re lining you up for fulfilling their sick fantasies.

I’m far from being a prude, but these type of sex games need express consent from both parties. And a discussion of limits and safe words. If he’s doing this on a second date, I’m sorry OP but I think the fantasies are what is driving him. I certainly wouldn’t be hanging around to find out. These men tend to be me, me, me, and don’t give a fuck who they hurt. I’m sorry if I sound harsh, but I do have experience of men like this.

Apart from anything, how scary that must have been for you when it was a new relationship! I’d have thought I’d been nabbed by a serial killer or someone. Who the hell keeps a hood handy for putting over women’s heads?

Get rid OP

PruLeithsNecklace · 30/09/2026 16:32

Christ wtf is wrong with people who need equipment to enjoy sex, I reckon they must be doing it wrong in the first place.

Timeforanothernamechange3 · 30/09/2026 16:36

Really inappropriate conversation for a first date in my opinion. If they talk that much about sex and sexual preferences on a first date, that's all they're interested in.

If one thinks it's ok to go to a TOTAL online strangers home for sex on a second date you're not ready for dating (let alone online dating). You need to learn about boundaries, self esteem and basic safety before you do anything.

Timeforanothernamechange3 · 30/09/2026 16:38

solosunflowers · 30/09/2026 13:09

I worded it badly about his family.
I suppose, what I meant, is that it gave me a false sense of security that he could be trusted.

It's making me wonder about dating at all because my judgement is clearly very poor.

Just because someone's known and respected in the community, doesn't mean they're not a predator.

Just because they're friends with your friend's brother and she says he's a nice guy, doesn't mean it's true.

PITA22 · 30/09/2026 16:43

I suggest locking his cock up in a cage (probably also one of his fantasies) and then buggering off with the key.

Blackandyellow65 · 30/09/2026 11:53

I know you get a lot of dramatic and hyperbolic replies on here. But I’m honestly not exaggerating when I say if a new partner I was about to have sex with for the first time pulled a hood out to stick over my head, I’d have reported it to the police. What did you even say when it happened, and what was his response?

Edited

I don't meant to be dense - but what's the criminal offence here?

outerspacepotato · 30/09/2026 16:47

YouHaveAnArse · 30/09/2026 13:20

Exactly my thoughts.

There are men into BDSM, and there are men who say they are into BDSM but just mean that they want to be shitty towards their partners.

I think this is a really important distinction. Men who are into bdsm, they would be seeing if you were ok with it and you would have discussions about consent and trust and safety before engaging.

Then there's the abusive guys who want to hurt women and then claim it was consensual bdsm. They don't talk about safety or consent. This guy pulled out a hood and with a hood on, for all you know, he could have been filming you and much worse. He told you about this fantasy. He didn't ask if you were into it or even how you felt about that. This is the kind of guy you run from no matter who his family is. If they have money, they can cover shit up.

That's just made me remember there was one guy in my social circle who we nicknamed Grope and all the girls got the message straight away when they heard it. He would sneak up on girls at parties and once he trapped a friend of mine in a bathroom and we leant on the door to force it open and get her out. Word soon got round about how sleazy he was. In today's world he'd be up to god knows what

Lalgarh · 30/09/2026 16:51

Is Prick Advisor still going. It's really needed for specimens like this.

He's almost certainly using prostitutes as well

Foundress · 30/09/2026 16:51

@Justonia I know nothing really about any of these things but what you are saying in your post seems to me to be incredibly sensible and insightful.
