Me too - it's part of my daily ritual now!

Sorry for the radio silence, I got an early finish at 6pm with being supernumerary but it was lovely to be back at work. Hectic but that’s usually the best way! Drop off went smoothly thankfully, I was so relieved.

Thank you everyone, it’s been lovely to read your comments from today 🥰 it’s been strange not being able to keep up! Yeah it was strange to be back and I felt like a fish out of water for the first hour or two, trying to get my bearings again but it was like riding a bike haha.

I don’t finish until 8pm usually. Sometimes that runs over depending on how the acuity of the ward is, but we never get out early unless it’s like today where I wasn’t in the numbers.

It has made me realise that with everything else still going on in my life at the moment though, reducing my hours down to 24, has been the best decision for both me and the kids.

I’m so glad today went well and there was no drama, well done!

DD is an ODP and she said the best thing about her phased return after a serious work place injury was being supernumary, because it didnt matter if she skived a bit haha!

And that she usually went home early!

Thank you. Not been the best day today; I had to leave early (around 6:30) because I now have the vomiting bug. Which is great when the kids come back to me in the morning, so I’m hoping for a good nights sleep as it’s wiped me out in the last 2 hours.
