Hi. I was talkin to a friend, her friends husband (they have 2 girls) goes to thailand for a boys holiday and sleeps with prostititues, the wife also knows this! He was talking and saying all men sleep with them. I certanely don't think my DP does and he works in germany all week. This man is a sleeze and goes out with a group of sleezy men who you can imagine do the same thing but surely he is wrong saying that?!

bollocks, I know a lot of blokes and only a couple have done this. Most guys I know would freak out at the thought.

Pity your friend SandC01

I have asked mine before if he has ever been to a prostitute and he is either a friggin good actor or he actually was repulsed at the fact I asked the question.

He has been to a lap dancing club when he was away on business and he said he felt very uncomfortable. I did ask him if he had a lap dance and he said no, but tbh it wouldn't really bother me if he did.

We have a monogamous relationship in which neither has the interest to stray and I don't agree that this is the norm.

I actually agree with Madamez, I actually do believe that we aren't really designed to be monogamous. I understand that view may well make people feel uncomfortable, staying with one partner does not make you morally superior either.
I really admire people who don't feel bound to one person, to have the sexual freedom to sleep with whom ever takes their fancy.
It doesn't actually appeal to me, but that's what role-play and fantasy is for. It's like adultery within the monogamous relationship,
Some people fantasise about others, other people act it out. It's when the 2 people (in the relationship) don't agree that it becomes problematic.

WRT the op I don't believe that ALL men have paid sex, but as long as those who do are open about it, I really don't have a problem.

Oh and not all lap dancers have been forced into their profession because of a lack of choices either. I know of at least 2 people who did it whilst a student to raise extra cash and even though they got their degrees, they still worked there because they were paid very well for it.

sorkycake · 18/06/2008 15:04

sorry there were too many actually's in my post.

Elasticwoman · 18/06/2008 23:13

The only man I know who has ever told me he visited a prostitute, got an STD from the experience. When I asked him why he did it (he was young, not ugly and girls generally liked him) he said "well you're listening to the story, aren't you?"

UnquietDad · 19/06/2008 09:20

I don't get it, elastic. What did he mean? That it gave him a good after-dinner story or chat-up line?

JessJess3908 · 19/06/2008 18:22

DP went on stag do in Amsterdam - called me drunk v upset and came back v disturbed as something like 3 out of the 15 stags had visited a prostitute.

I hope this means that a small minority of men do and that most are horrified by it?

Elasticwoman · 19/06/2008 20:42

Well yes, UQD, only it's not the greatest chat-up line to say that of 2 visits to prostitutes, once you couldn't get it up and the other time caught the clap.

freedomiscoming · 02/04/2010 17:31

I think its fair to say a large proportion of men sleep with or have slept with Prostitutes, Any prostitute would tell you majority of customers are married men.

veryconfusedandupset · 02/04/2010 17:37

Gloucestershire men don't sleep with prostitutes - too many gifted amateurs around here!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/04/2010 17:40

???

Old thread

OrmRenewed · 02/04/2010 17:41

What all of them? Really?

If he says so

ShowOfHands · 02/04/2010 17:43

Why have you revived this thread to make ridiculous and unfounded assertions? Have you nothing better to do?

ImSoNotTelling · 02/04/2010 17:43

I was thinking "ooh look people have come back"

but they haven't...

TrillianAstra · 02/04/2010 17:45

I think 'freedom is coming' is from CUK or whatever it's called, and also needs a basic lesson in statistics.

Just because most people who use prostitues are married men does not mean that most married men use prostitutes.

ShowOfHands · 02/04/2010 17:48

He's confused his syllogisms. Which is easy to do if you're a silly jism.

HellBent · 02/04/2010 17:50

When exactly is this little CUK holiday ending? I can't take any threads seriously just now!

Hullygully · 02/04/2010 17:51

Yes they all do. It's the law.

squilly · 02/04/2010 17:53

Mine's from Yorkshire. He'd NEVER pay for sex. Also, I'm his first, his last, his everything...according to him. And if you met him, you'd know that was probably going to be true (ah, bless emoticon).

BoysAreLikeDogs · 02/04/2010 17:53

actually it's ruining MN at the mo

CUK if you are carrying on the trolling, and you think it's harmless fun, think again

folks have been giving advice in good faith only to find that they have been wasting their time; this has a knock-on effect in that genuine new members may not be treated kindly or taken seriously

[glum]

HerBeatitude · 02/04/2010 17:55

why has this old thread been resurrected?

of course most men don't sleep with prostitutes. As someone else pointed out when this thread first did the rounds, there simply aren't enough prostitutes to service most men. Unless of course, you're one of those mentally unstable mysogynists who think that one way or the other, all women are prostitutes.

HellBent · 02/04/2010 17:55

A bit fucking boring too! I think they said themselves they couldn't think up anything more shocking than what was already here!

ShowOfHands · 02/04/2010 17:56

Hully's right. DH is a copper. He's trying to get into the Force Unit for Compulsory Kinks (the FUCKers for short). Difficult branch to penetrate. Tough job forcing men to have sex they don't want, paid for with money they don't have.

ItsGraceAgain · 02/04/2010 19:13

What's CUK?

ShowOfHands · 02/04/2010 19:50

CUK are some IT contractory type people who came over here en masse to waggle their willies about a bit hoping we'd be suitably impressed.

We weren't.
