My husband went to play darts last night as he does every Wednesday. I’ve woken up at 4.30am and he isn’t home!!!
I’ve tried calling him and WhatsApping him- no answer and no reply. He hasn’t read my messages.
his darts team are his old work mates who I have no contact information for.
im worried sick. What do I do!? Do I call the police? Do I call hospitals !? Help, I feel sick

Gosh I'm watching too & keeping you in my thoughts.

tensmum1964 · 07/09/2023 08:55

This is worrying. I hope he turns up soon OP. Thinking of you.

SallyWD · 07/09/2023 08:57

Very strange if you still haven't heard from him. Thinking of you and hope he's home soon.

marblesthecat · 07/09/2023 08:58

My DH did this last year so I know how you feel. I was worried sick and felt ill. He was drunk though and had fallen asleep in a local park listening to music. I remember he came home at around 9am all apologetic. It's the exact type of stupid shit that he does when he's drunk. I hope all is resolved for you soon.

NotNewButNameChanged2023 · 07/09/2023 09:00

I hope he turns up soon. I would be out of my mind with worry 😢

Lilolilibet · 07/09/2023 09:03

I would still think he's probably just on a bender.

LIZS · 07/09/2023 08:44

I'd be surprised if any hospital would be willing to confirm whether he is or was there or not.

They will to next of kin

Gettingbysomehow · 07/09/2023 09:06

If he'd crashed the car the police would have tracked you via the car. They could do that if he fell ill too.

Yeah but OP knows her husband. Some people have standards.

Gosh imagine if you'd done that as a women and most likely a mother. I hope he he was apologetic. A women would have social services called on her for that behaviour.

Butterfly44 · 07/09/2023 09:09

I hope he turns up safe. Ca. You contact his work? I would get another parent to help take kids into school and back. Or fork out taxi, so at least they are away at school. Maybe take day off do you ate at home today. Call family and friends for support.

I know. My whole family was worried sick. He'd been out drinking with my brother and when my brother went home he'd wandered off. I got basically no sleep so I shut myself in my room and left him to deal with DC all day. He's lucky he wasn't mugged.

my82my · 07/09/2023 09:13

Have you tried phoning the pub, they might be able to tell you if he left with friends or was really drunk.

ebts · 07/09/2023 09:13

Any news, Op?

Mushroo · 07/09/2023 09:14

This is very worrying.

Echo what others have said, can you call the pub? They might remember him leaving. also try his work (even just to let them know he likely won’t be there).

JeminasPuddle · 07/09/2023 09:16

@Worried00 I don't know if this has been mentioned upthread but you can get temporary car insurance (I know this is not your main concern right now) places like Veygo offer it by the hour or day so if you are in an emergency situation or want to lend you car you can use this service. It doesn't affect the usual car owner's insurance if the person with the temporary insurance makes a claim

https://www.veygo.com/temporary-car-insurance/

Temporary Car Insurance | Short-Term Cover | 1 hour + | Veygo

Temporary car insurance for short term cover on most vehicles. Cover from 1 hour to 60 days. Get a quote now and & get on the road in minutes.

BingandSulaandFlop · 07/09/2023 09:17

I don't think you can get temporary car insurance without the knowledge and consent of the owner. If you do it's insurance fraud

Superlambaanana · 07/09/2023 09:20

Worried00 · Today 05:29
he usually comes home about midnight.
no I have no way of tracking his phone.
he drives to darts and doesn’t drink so I’m worried

CoffeeBean5 · 07/09/2023 09:20

Can you walk to school? I can understand not wanting to if it's an hour away. He probably got drunk and stayed at a friend's house. He'll probably say his phone ran out of battery but surely he could borrow a charger.

determinedtomakethiswork · 07/09/2023 09:21

If you have full insurance on your own car, are you covered third-party on another car?

Furryrug · 07/09/2023 09:23

Hoping he turns up soon op .

Summerslimtime · 07/09/2023 09:24

At this stage I'd make it my Facebook status.

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 07/09/2023 09:30

any news?

Proudgypsy · 07/09/2023 09:33

Can you call the place he was playing darts at?

Or ask if his car is in their car park, at least.
