Found a mobile in DH's desk draw

I was tidying up DH's home office when I found a mysterious mobile in the draw, I feel devastated. I managed to turn it on but it's got a passcode.

After all the times I've read about this on mumsnet I never thought it would happen to me but when I think about it he has been distant lately, seems distracted and he has been working late popping off to meeting later in the day etc.

DH doesnt know I've found it and he is out at the moment, does anyone have any words of advice or how to go about bringing it up?

Don’t let him have it back under any circumstances. Ask if you like but you keep hold of it until he unlocks and shows the contents in front of you

Why don’t you ask him to unlock the phone for you then so you can look through it, if he has nothing to hide it won’t be a problem, if he doesn’t though and comes up with privacy excuses you know his hiding something.
when your marriage is on the line, privacy doesn’t trump it.

Or it will all be deleted (if there is anything) and you’ll end up in turmoil with this for a long time

@Kendaland yes this was my worry! If he has the chance to cover it all up, OP will never know what the truth really was and will end up feeling guilty for even asking, or at worse like she's going crazy. I would wait and see if he is out at 5.30pm tomorrow evening and take a bit more time to figure it out, easier said than done though!

If you are going to ask him when he gets home, dont mention the text at first, keep the phone and ask for the passcode, if hes nothing to hide he will just give it to you, if he doesnt mention the text. Good op, hoping it's just a work phone.

Unless the message was followed by a load of kisses you didn't mention, I'm unclear how "See you tomorrow at 5.30" suggests it's from a lady?

I think if you feel you have to talk to him, you need to pretend to know more than you do. Tell him you've seen his messages, what does he want to tell you?

She was checking the numbers on WhatsApp so might have seen a woman's picture

I wouldn't say a thing I'd hold out till tomoro and follow him then catch him in the act then he can't deny it.
