His mortgage application with OW landed on my doormat!

I was with my ex fiancé for 10 years, long story short 12 weeks before our wedding he went cold and distant. He swore there was no one else…of course he was shagging someone from work! But he never told me, kept her a secret from everyone, kept messaging me daily saying how he wanted to sort things out, I’m his soulmate blah blah. A month ago I found out he’d been with her since before we separated, has been with her for over a year, all whilst telling me the most elaborate network of lies.

Today a letter addressed to him & her landed on my doormat. I opened it to find details of the house they have bought and all mortgage details! We have been separated for over a year, but up until just a few weeks back he was messaging me confessing his love. I changed my phone number as I couldn’t deal with his words and actions not matching, now I know why! I have started to see someone new, and he can’t understand why seeing this has upset me. Should it bother me that he’s lived this double life and seems to have committed to her so quickly? I’m confused if I’m being unreasonable for this upsetting me?

I'd be burning them while dancing round the fire like a mad old witch.

Love it!! 🤣

Snorted on my coffee. I've never met a magnificent willie personally 😉. I've seen them online and clenched up in fear though 🤭

Fear or . . . uncontrollable mirth? 😂

How on earth did he think giving your address would ever work?

How on earth did he think giving your address would ever work?

because he had a PO redirect in place - so all mail addressed to him would be redirected to his new address.

What he didn't realise is that because it was JOINTLY to him and OW, and because OW did not have a redirect in place, then it would be sent to the original address. The PO systems will assume that mail is intended for someone at the original address and they have a legal right to it - which would have been the case if it had jointly been addressed to him and the OP. The PO systems don't know the name of the OW or the OP.....

@EmotionalSupportWyrm

I read it as he had put OP's address on the mortgage application 🤔

EmotionalSupportWyrm · 17/05/2023 16:49

He did @KeziaOAP - as his current home address, because he had a redirect in place he expected it to be redirected to his new address with OW - but because it was addressed to someone else as well as him this doesnt happen.

It's him putting OP's home (his former home) as his current address that OP is concerned about. If it hadn't been addressed to OW as well as him the OP would never have known that he was continuing to use her address as his.

I’m trying to figure out how he attracted both the op and the other woman in the first place. He sounds like a buffoon.

Buffoon is a vastly under- used word.
It should be used much more often on MN.

Thesharkradar · 17/05/2023 18:00

so Mr Buffoon is currently waiting for a letter about his mortgage application, blissfully unaware that the next piece of correspondence he will receive on the matter will be from the fraud squad😶
