Could he be having an affair???

Name changed for this!! I don't even know why im posting!! I don't know anything yet?! Im hoping it's all innocent!!

Today my husband told me he was going off to golf! No problem, it's a hobby he's taken up in the last 6 months and goes off most weekends! He always said it's a good de stresser as we have 2 children under 5, one of which is an baby. So of course I've had no reason to suspect anything untoward!!

My friend text me saying she's seen him with a woman shopping in the next town over!!! She doesn't think he saw her.

I don't know what to do, say, do I ring him? Do I confront him when he's home? I'm hoping my friend is wrong 😩

Yes, I'm oh my phone. Is that a crime Benjie spruce. He's left, on foot, for the local pub. That is not unusual. We live within walking distance, he told me he's going to pick us up a curry on the way home. He's being his usual self, I so want to believe my friend is wrong.

I don’t think it’s wafer thin evidence. Seen with another woman? When he says he’s at golf? I’m sorry but I’d say he’s been seeing her for 6 months - if that’s when golf started. It’s a good cover every 6 months. He might actually be watching rugby tonight, depends I guess but good your friend will follow him.

He's leaving for the pub shortly. He's been talking to me and my friend normally. Doesn't appear to be shady, he's just mentioned he may have to help a friend fit a kitchen tomorrow.... could this be another excuse to see this woman!!

Send your friend to follow him and properly find out that friend kitchen story.

The thing that stands out here is how little time he spends with you. To be out nearly all day playing golf, then off to the pub with mates and still having time to help fit someone else kitchen? All of that is not OK and shows a marked lack of respect for you - let alone whether he's shagging someone else.

No clothes in the garage, she said he was wearing a black vans t shirt..., I've just checked, his is hanging in the wardrobe... smells unworn. Oh god!! Have I got myself all in a tizz over nothing!

So did he come home in the same clothes he went out in OP? And was that a different outfit to the one your friend described she'd seen him wearing? You definitely need to check that bag he put in the garage.

I’d go with the friend and follow him. I’d kind of hide in the back seat because if it were me, I’d want to see for myself. I agree with @Onesipmore that it is weird that he’s constantly busy. Golf, pub, kitchen fitting. Hmm…

It's embarrassing how much people want the man to be having an affair.
Your friend was mistaken and saw a guy that looked like your husband.
You husband arrives in golf clothes with his golf clubs and has a shower. Not at all suspicious.
Sounds like you have a friend problem not a DH problem.

I'd say there is a DH problem either way, since he's going off "most weekends" to destress when they have two under 5 including a baby. That would be a no from me.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Your friend was mistaken, It happens. No need to stress yourself out further you wasn't suspicious before and there is no need to be now.
