Does your dp go for a poo in front of you

Help to settle a very light hearted discussion please. I've watched everything on Netflix and am this bored!

Been with dh for 5 years and we don't poo in front of each other. We were discussing ex relationships ( don't ask me how ) but the topic came up that my ex partner used to go for a poo in front of me ( never bothered me).

DH said it's weird and that he doesn't imagine many couples do this , I disagree and think it's probably quite common.

So do you/ your partner or has an ex ever done this ?

OP posts:

Absolutely NOt . Revolting. However dd and her bf are quite open about the fact that they do. So 🤷🏼‍♀️

ProserpinaProserpina · 19/12/2022 19:19

Barring medical emergencies when one of us has been very unwell (or in labour!) pooing is kept private!

ProserpinaProserpina · 19/12/2022 19:19

(And on reflection, most instances have sadly been me pooing in front of him)

heidihigh · 19/12/2022 19:22

A wee I think is just about acceptable. A poo 100% no.

Reallyatthelimit · 19/12/2022 19:23

No. This is disgusting. The ultimate passion killer.

Usernameisunavailable · 19/12/2022 19:24

Hell, no. Gross. 💩

vdbfamily · 19/12/2022 19:25

My DH will not even have a conversation through the toilet door if he is in there, let alone let me in!!

AnneTwackie · 19/12/2022 19:26

We only poo in front of each other. It can be quite inconvenient when I have to rush home from work so I can focus on his sweet sweet face while I let one plop but it works for us.

Greenfairydust · 19/12/2022 19:34

You think this is quite common?

I don't think so.

It is really a disgusting concept to most people I would think....

CustardGoodJamGoodMeatGood · 19/12/2022 19:43

DP poos infront of me, he'll leave the door open and chat to me (bedroom next door at an angle) or if I'm in the bath, but I never poo infront of him, mainly because I like to sit in the bathroom for 5 mins by myself🤣 I don't love him any less,

Beautiful3 · 19/12/2022 19:47

Mine used to, while I was held hostage in the bath. So I returned the favour when he had a bath. He soon stopped.

Tiddlywinkly · 19/12/2022 19:52

Nope. No poos or wees in front of each other. Boundaries are good.

The only exception was birth. Me pooping, but I couldn't exactly control that. No harm done.

SunscreenCentral · 19/12/2022 20:12

Absolutely Not.

Under no circumstances (beyond perhaps involuntary during childbirth... I have a suspicion that it happened to me during labour - I didn't ask for confirmation of my suspicion and he'd never ever have said)

We're not barnyard animals.
So no, no and no.

ToBeOrNotToBee · 19/12/2022 20:15

I've had a man pee in front of me on 2nd date. I didn't mind.

I draw the line at poop.

DanseAvecLesLoups · 19/12/2022 20:17

If I'm sweating away trying to unload the previous evenings Guinness and curry the last thing I need is my other half popping in for a chat.

TolkiensFallow · 19/12/2022 20:19

No I think it’s revolting. Been together 20 years, certainly not prudish but absolutely not.

however whenever these conversations come up in groups in real life, I’m always shocked by the amount of people who think it’s fine

Thecrackineverything · 19/12/2022 20:26

And we think we are a civilised country.

WITWCT · 19/12/2022 20:32

With 3 bathrooms, it would be a strange situation for me to experience that!😉 Don’t some people have a poo fetish though? The mind boggles. A friend of mine used to piss all over her husbands face as he liked it! WTF.

pompomdaisy · 19/12/2022 20:32

We have done. We wild camped last year and had to help each other poo in remote places. He's watched me give birth twice ffs!

HeatwaveToNightshade · 19/12/2022 17:10

Bloody hell, no! I remember when I was a child, my friend called me into the bathroom and I had no idea she was doing a poo. I was appalled, but felt unsure of my reaction because I didn't know if maybe pooing in front of people was normal in other families.

I had this exact experience! A 3rd friend was with us too who seemed to believe this was perfectly normal! I was 😮🤐😯!
I can still envision her face as she strained her poo put 💩 🤮

NOT normal. And no OP, I'd never poo in front of my DP. Wee, perhaps in a sticky situation if I was desperate and DP was in the bath or such. She'd never do it in front of me either. Although she does wind me up by taking her bloody phone to the loo with her and telling me such!

Mary46 · 19/12/2022 20:43

No! Only time was when my labour was very rapid it happened!! But no. But mine was out of my control

Lesserspottedmama · 19/12/2022 20:51

I think it’s ok if both people are comfortable with that but to me it’s just unnecessary, I mean, why would you feel the need? I really don’t understand it. There seems to be something quite unnatural about it. I poo in front of my kids sometimes (toddlers and babies only) because I can’t always get away for a moments privacy. I feel like couples who do this must have more of a matey, asexual relationship?

Because I need something out of the bathroom or utility whilst he is in there 🤷🏼‍♀️

I can assure you I am not asexual

InsertSomethingMotivationalHere · 19/12/2022 20:57

Nope. My DP has IBS and most certainly wouldn't want me watching him suffering on the toilet!

piedbeauty · 19/12/2022 20:57

No way. Grim.
